This build uses Depravity to produce ample e-denial and pressure to opposing casters. With the inclusion of various types of cover hexes, this build accomplishes both shut down as well as noteworthy team support.
Attribute and Skills
<pvxbig> [build prof=necro/mes curses=12+1+1 soulre=9+1 insp=9][Depravity][Parasitic Bond][Rip enchantment][Power Drain][Optional][Foul Feast][Signet of Lost Souls][Resurrection Signet][/build] </pvxbig>
Equipment
- Radiant armor, highest Vigor rune affordable, Attunement or Vitae runes.
- A Curses focus with a "Forget Me Not" inscription (for higher chances of hex stacking on more targets) and a Fortitude mod or an Aptitude mod.
- A curses staff with a HCT incription and an insightful headpiece. The suffix part is up to the player. Fortitude for more health, or mastery for higher curses.
- Standard Defensive sets.
Usage
- Moving in, select your target (preferredly a monk) and hex with Depravity. If the monk is already enchanted (probably pre-veiling), quickly use Rip Enchantment and then hex with Parasitic Bond.
- Hex melee foes with Price of Failure, quickly covering with parasitic.
- Foul Feast harmful conditions off of your healer, like deep wound, cripple and daze. Make sure to keep blind off of your frontliner as well.
- Power Drain as an interrupt, as well as e-management.
- Use Signet of Lost Souls against foes with less than 50% HP for minimum HP and energy gain.
Variants
As with all other Depravity builds, there's quite a few possible variants.
- Web of Disruption for a secondary cover hex, for depravity in general. It has the added secondary effect of a possible double interrupt.
- Defile Defenses for an anti-block skill, cover, and large conditional damage.
Optional
- price of failure as general melee hate.
- Reckless Haste as another melee hate option.
- Spirit of Failure almost as effective as Price of Failure, with minimal energy regain.
Counters
- Heavy hex removal.
- General caster hate.
- Ironically, energy denial.
Notes
This is yet another variant of the depravity builds around, but this one does things a tad bit more aggressively. With the limited party support, as well as being able to severely hamper casters and helpful anti-melee, this build does not one thing very well, but it does several things handily.
