This build has been designed for the following use:

This Hero Battle team build exploits hero AI with a R/P spearchucker to spread conditions while the player (A/W) kills the opposing team using quick, powerful attacks and degneration from conditions. This build is currently very popular in Hero Battles because of its power and flexibility.

(You) Burst Assassin

<pvxbig> [build prof=Assassin/War Dagger=11+1+1 Critic=12+1 Deadly=6+1][Shadow Prison][Tiger Stance][Black Lotus Strike][Horns of the Ox][Black Spider Strike][Blades of Steel][Impale][Expose Defenses][/build] </pvxbig> This is the player's character. Generally, the player is responsible for killing opposing team members or solo capping a shine against weaker characters. Usage is relatively straight forward.

  • Choose a target. If the target is a monk, or is likely to have hex removal available cast Expose Defenses.
  • Quickly cast Shadow Prison then move from left to right on the skill bar. Reapply Expose Defenses as it becomes available if it is needed (ex. to stop SoD, Guardian, or Hex Breaker)

Equipment

  • Vampiric Daggers of Fortitude (15% vs. hexed foes)
  • Ebon Daggers of Fortitude (15% vs. hexed foes)
  • Radiant or Survivor insignias.

(Acolyte Jin) or (Margrid the Sly) or (Pyrr Fierceshot) Spearchucker

<pvxbig> [build prof=Ranger/Paragon Spear=12 Expert=8+1 BeastM=10+1+1][Barbed Spear][Throw Dirt][Disrupting Lunge][Poisonous Bite][Whirling Defense][Heal as One][Remedy Signet][Charm Animal][/build] </pvxbig> This hero is used mainly to cap shrines alone because of it's high survivability from Heal As One. It also does better than average DPS while spreading poison and bleeding.

  • It should be noted that if this hero is fighting another Spearchucker the player should lock the hero on the opposing ranger because Hero AI attacks pets by default.

Equipment

  • A 15^50 Furious Spear of Fortitude.
  • Survivor insignias.

(Razah) or (Xandra) Spirit Spammer

<pvxbig> [build prof=Ritualist/any Communing=11+1+1 Restoration=10+1 Spawning=10+1][Wanderlust][Shadowsong][Pain][Blind Was Mingson][Mend Body and Soul][Spirit Light][Boon of Creation][Optional][/build] </pvxbig> This hero helps the monk with healing while giving support in capturing or holding shrines.

  • Hero AI dictates that Offensive spirits are only cast when the hero comes under attack, so forcecasting while Razah is out of battle may help with initial set-up for fights.
  • Blind Was Mingson is used to counter melee and may be forced if Razah seems reluctant to use the skill.

Equipment

  • To be added...

(Tahlkora) or (Dunkoro) or (Ogden Stonehealer) SoR Monk

<pvxbig> [build prof=Monk/Elementalist Protect=12+1+1 Divine=12+1][Shield of Regeneration][Shield of Absorption][Reversal of Fortune][Protective Spirit][Mend Ailment][Reverse Hex][Guardian][Glyph of Lesser Energy@0][/build] </pvxbig> One of the more effective monk builds for Hero Battles. It is very similar to a regular monk with a few changes specifically for the arena. Reverse Hex removes hexes faster and reduces damage while Mend Ailment gives a benefit when conditions remain after removal of one. These two changes are ideal against opponents Shadow Prison assassins because of their reliance on hexes and their condition stacking.

  • If the player is able to predict an assassin spike, forcing Mend Condition as Shadow Prison is cast will usually remove Deep Wound and recieve a large heal.

Equipment

  • Blessed insignias.
  • +5 energy Spear of Enchanting and a Protection prayers offhand.

Variants

  • The Spirit Spammer can be replaced by another R/P Spearchucker
  • Expose Defenses can be replaced by Dash for a speed boost
  • Throw Dirt or Disrupting Lunge can be replaced by Blazing Spear
  • Whirling Defense can be replaced by Natural Stride or Lightning Reflexes
  • Pain or Shadowsong can be replaced by Union or Shelter for defense
  • For optional slot in Spirit Spammer, Serpent's Quickness, Hex Breaker, or Soothing Memories may be put there
  • Impale can be replaced for Siphon Speed
  • Assault Enchantments can replace Shadow Prison to counter other versions of this build or any other enchantment heavy build. If choosing to do this, Tiger's Stance should be replaced by Siphon Speed
  • Deny Hexes or Hex Breaker can replace Glyph of Lesser Energy to stop most Shadow Prison sins at first in exchange for energy management.
  • The R/P Spearchucker or the Spirit Spammer can be replaced by Ebon Dust Spearchucker

Notes

  • Feel free to add in the variants since there are many versions of this build.
