Trouble Targeting Boss

Whenever I'm trying to farm Sessek I always (literal always there. i've tried this about 15 times and its happened every time) have silver armor target one of the Naga near him. There are 2 mobs there within aggro range. Its his mob i have the trouble with. His mob consists of him, 2 rangers, and 2 warriors. His mob never ever moves. His ranger pals never seem to want to move even the slightest inch away from him either. i'm running from the hatchery because in the list of farmable bosses it listed that as the easiest run and whenever i'm trying to farm a boss thats always the part i have the most trouble with. any suggestions? Curlytop2112 13:17, 26 June 2007 (EDT)

What I do for that boss is start from Eredon Terrace, run shortly south, activate Shadow Form, aggro both mobs, shadow step to Sessk, activate sliver. 90% of the time for me it targets the boss. Not sure what the problem is, but for most of the bosses, sliver targets them, only some like Sskai, Sunreach, etc. are hard to target for me. --NYC Elite 03:15, 27 June 2007 (EDT)
Thanks. now i have a new problem tho i'll start a new section because its completley unrelated. i haven't tried what you suggested yet but i will soon. thanks for the prompt response btw nyc elite. Curlytop2112 06:36, 27 June 2007 (EDT)
Wow that worked the first time i did it. i guess the key is teleporting back to him. i'm not sure. thanks alot. i don't know what the difference is between the starting points but whatever it is it works. and it fixed the bug that i posted about before. that run i just did he dropped 2 naga skins. not what i wanted but hey if he's dropping something then that means that eventually he'll drop a green. thanks for your help nyc elite. Curlytop2112 06:54, 27 June 2007 (EDT)
got the green on my second run from the top. i can't say thank you enough for that help. it also seems to have fixed the bug (? at the very least extremely bad luck) i posted about below. as soon as i get a couple more drops ill strike thorough that post. Curlytop2112 06:54, 27 June 2007 (EDT)

Bosses Won't Drop Anything

now i'm having trouble getting drops. the last idk mabye 10 times i've killed a boss with this build he hasn't dropped ANYTHING. not gold, not a collectable, not a green. nothing whatsoever. i'm farming in normal mode. they didn't make some stupid update where if you are killing a boss by yourself in normal mode it won't drop anything did they? *sarcastic* Curlytop2112 06:36, 27 June 2007 (EDT)

If you're farming an overly farmed boss, they drop their green a lot less. - Skakid9090º_o 07:01, 27 June 2007 (EDT)
But if they are over farmed would that just make them drop their green less often or drop nothing more often? Because of the last idk mabye 15 (just for an estimate) bosses i've killed only 3 kills have resulted in drops of anything Curlytop2112 04:19, 28 June 2007 (EDT)
They've started dropping items again. in fact i just started trying farming on hard mode and the first two drops were greens.Curlytop2112 18:19, 1 July 2007 (CEST)

Its almost always about the time of day that you are farming the actual green, you get better drops in the morning tho.

Hey, I normally farm Tahkayun Tsi in HM with this build, but the thing is, in my first few runs, I scored three passage scrolls and 2-3 golds, but now, he's not even dropping WHITES. =/ Can someone at least explain to me why this is happening?? I'm not aiming for his green, just the golds+scrolls. So a little help, please? Little_Dragon
Anti-farm code would be my explanation. They don't have to drop anything. Also, note that that the only items excluded from the solo-farming code are things such as dyes, scrolls, rare items and the like. - Kowal Krowman {{sysop}} 02:05, 8 August 2007 (CEST)
So, you're saying that Tsi doesn't HAVE to drop the golds and scrolls, right? Or is it mixed up? (pardon my near noobieness, I'm a Mission/Quest junkie, only JUST being intro'd into farming as of a month ago, having started a 55 nec)Little_Dragon
Correct, they don't necessarily have to drop anything. Even before the (recent) farming nerf, no monsters, boss or regular, were guaranteed to drop items. Them dropping anything at all is little more than a heads-up on a coin toss; it is randomized, no drops guaranteed, even those exempt from the solo-farming code. - Kowal Krowman {{sysop}} 02:25, 8 August 2007 (CEST)

Ahh, so how would an avid farmer remedy this situation? Farming in other areas for 'x' amount of time?? Btw, my Wiki page is up and running, so my link to my page is no longer a red one. Little_Dragon

Go back to questing or vanquishing for a short while. Usually entering 2-3 explorable areas and killing lots/questing resets the anti-farm code. - Kowal Krowman {{sysop}} 02:36, 8 August 2007 (CEST)
Ahh, now I understand. But, is it regional, like JUST in Ran Musu, or can I go to, let's say Augury Rock and continue farming? Little_Dragon
It is regional (I believe, and GWiki doesn't confirm anything to the contrary). - Kowal Krowman {{sysop}} 02:45, 8 August 2007 (CEST)
Ahh, excellent, I can go from Ran Musu w/ my 'sin to Augury w/ my necro with impunity. ;p Much obliged for your assistance, post on my talk page if you want to hook up and farm UW or something w/ trapping. Little_Dragon

Lieutanant Shagu

How do you successfully farm this boss? I want his shield, but the most I can do is get him down to half health. He just doesn't die quickly enough...particularly as there's always a monk around. I'd love to see a video. Spirit's Strength Permanganate 01:04, 11 July 2007 (CEST)

Pull multiple groups, kill the monk(s) on the first run then after ressing come back for the boss. spam o-flame as much as possible and intensity helps a lot. - Skakid9090 01:07, 11 July 2007 (CEST)
He's called Lieutenant Shag-U for a very good reason. He has quite a long spear... ~~ Napalm Flame ^_^ Napalm Flame Sig Image (talk)·(contributions) 01:36, 11 July 2007 (CEST)
One success (though no shield), a lot of failures. IMO, the note for him is inadequate and this boss is not Medium, particularly since many enemies in the area have Aura of Thorns. You must aggro all three groups in the area while not getting Nearby to any the dervishes...then you have a chance. Spirit's Strength Permanganate 01:47, 11 July 2007 (CEST)

Jin, the Purifier

I just came across her while training up my assassin for this build. Can this build farm her? She drops a green called The Purifier. Just interested. Leeroythefeared 21:57, 14 July 2007 (CEST) Note: She's in Bukdek Byway- quite easy to get to. Leeroythefeared 21:58, 14 July 2007 (CEST)

Heh, you can barely give the Purifier away, why would you farm it? Anyways, the best way to find out is to test it yourself. I would doubt it though, her mob is only 3 or 4 people big, and the run there could be difficult. - Kowal Krowman {{sysop}} 22:02, 14 July 2007 (CEST)
The run is easy. Just exit through Kaineng Center and keep on running. Yeah, I just saw her and was interested, not really in the green in particular. And she's got plenty of mobs near her. Once my assassin is ready i'll try it myself. Leeroythefeared 02:02, 15 July 2007 (CEST)
I've just tried it at lvl 18 with all the right equipment. I'm finding her very hard to target- the Knights seem to cotton on quick and shield her from the Silver armour. Leeroythefeared 15:52, 25 July 2007 (CEST)

Elementalist skill intensity

-can this skill be used with sliver armor to increase the damage by 23%, and would it be worth it, also would you be able to focus only on sliver armor by also bringing elemental lord? please get back. this would increase the damage to 42 for the A/E and 52 for the E/A.

Dont see why not... and, yes intensity boosts sliver... --User Frvwfr2 signature frvwfr2 (talk · contributions) 05:14, 15 July 2007 (CEST)

Kind of the same - When i was farming Chor the Bladed I found that if aggravated the nearby group of Mirage Iboga first (before activating shadow form so I got put under some hexes), silver armour and aftershock (and possibly shock - i'm not sure) were twice as effective - normally 27 damage per hit by silver armour but 54 damage after, and aftershock was doubled as well. This happened over a few runs - not sure why but it meant that i killed him (at least) twice as fast. It only seemed to happen after I'd been hexed by a Iboga.

Did you check Chor if he used frenzy? He does that sometimes Wyvern 23:29, 18 July 2007 (CEST)

Recent rating

Recently there was a "trash" rating, which I disagree on so many aspects. It goes as quoted: Thorin Legende

"It's cool to farm with an assassin, but it have a major problem with it....miss of energy all the time. It's almost impossible to kill a boss with it.

For's only a copy of the El/A that's a lot more effective."

 • You should have NO energy problems with this build unless you are repeatedly spamming spells, the main skills in themselves (shadow form, death's charge, Glyph of elemental power, sliver armor) cost 30 energy, other skills use just speed it up
 • Of course, it's relatively simple to kill a boss, there's a list of over 75 bosses that have been tested and confirmed
 • The A/E version actually came first, so it is in fact not the copy. Even if it was a copy both versions of them have their strengths and weaknesses depending on the location and statistics of the boss, one only works "better" in some situations while the other excels in others.

All in all I think this is the vote of someone who isn't using the build right, got the wrong idea of the entire build, and is marring the record of the build itself before discussing it with anyone on the talk page. Wyvern 02:11, 21 July 2007 (CEST)

i agree with you wyvern. if we could get someone in here to check it (the review)... Curlytop2112 03:41, 23 July 2007 (CEST)

Thx Krowman we get defensive of this build lol Curlytop2112 19:12, 25 July 2007 (CEST)

Hard Mode Bosses

I've confirmed Sessek and SSyn Coiled Grasp are soloable with this build in hard mode. i would add to the article but i've never edited an article before and i don't want to mess anything up. if no one wants to make a solo farm section on the actual article we could at least make a list here on the talk page. Curlytop2112 02:28, 25 July 2007 (CEST)

I just noticed Sun The Quivering Doesn't spawn in hard mode. I tried it twice and search the area throughly, he just isn't there during hard mode.

Ya I checked my quests I don't have any of those. Maybe I just have some kinda bug lol. Who knows, but I can't figure out qhy he doesn't spawn anymore. He used to.

There is another relatively easy boss to farm in HM; Tahkayun Tsi, just outside Ran Musu Gardens of Cantha; I normally farm him, not for his green, but for golds and such. The mob just around him makes him easy pickings, and the total run shouldn't take much longer than 30 secs a pop. But, as you've seen in the other thread I have posted in, if you farm him TOO much, he stops dropping. Just to prove that Tsi's easy pickings, on my second run, I scored a UW and 2 FoW scrolls from him. :D Little_Dragon

Shouldnt all of this be doable in HM? Shadow Forms makes you invincible and the 33% higher attack rate actually helps you. Asdfg 16:43, 20 August 2007 (CEST)

Are you sure you're activating sliver armor AFTER you shadow step? Mindclouder shouldn't really be a hassle, bring obsidian flame instead of dark escape I guess? Stone daggers is pretty bad anyway and hurts your energy As for chor, just perfect your shock timing for when he's at around half health before he gets a chance to run. That or bring caltrops (I think another farmable boss around there needs caltrops too, so you can kill 2 birds with one stone) Wyvern 08:34, 28 July 2007 (CEST)

In the article dudes write its sometimes hard to target Sessk. The solution is simple:get there first XD Before u aggro cast Glyph(saves time).Next cast shadow Form, step into aggro and wait till naga wars come at u.Wait 2secs and teleport to Sessk.Sometimes u needto position urself but it work great mostly.I noticed that with this method u always attract the other naga group which ends for Sessk the way we know it :D You can always kill some nagas after Sessk with SA for their skins(u can get Healing Staves at Bai Paasu for ur heroes).

As for Chor-hes a pain in the ass :/ Not enuf aggro around.Sharptooth is hard too-the run there is impossible.

BTW The easiest run ever is Byzzr Wingmender with 55HP Spoil Victor :D

 • Chor needs one more patrol that comes in from the north near him. And sometimes he even frenzies so it makes it even easier.
 • You can just wait for all nagas to bunch up after they come for you when you first approach the area? Then again it depends from what outpost you're starting from.
 • Sharptooth is actually pretty easy. Go to Stormbringer, kill, die, head to mindclouder, kill, head north (take the east side at the fork)(you should have recast shadow form to help break aggro from mindclouder's group, then let it expire and let regen heal you) dash through the hekets with sliver armor on just in case. Avoid the group of ntoukas, and there you are, right next to sharptooth. If you're seriously having problems then drop dark escape and bring obsidian flame, it usually gives the boost needed for people to take down a boss.

Wyvern 03:31, 29 July 2007 (CEST)

I didint even try Sharptooth :/ I ditched Chor as well-Im gettin him with 55hp SV N/Mo-he goes down quick. As for Skybringer-I simply CANT touch it!!I tried again today. It says there r plenty of mobs for Silver Armor, but when i teleport to the dude and throw SA he gets healing from insects-I aggro 1 additional group to Skybringer.Should i take the reminaing 2groups?

no just cast sliver then tele to him real quick.betta chance of sliver targeting him =DIlikefarts 01:44, 24 March 2008 (EDT)

Ok, so I'm having some problems with this guy. I'm not doing HM, I can make the run to just before him, where there are the titans everywhere, and the 3 Madness titans patrol the bridge I believe just southeast of him. Fahralon in Hard Mode

I don't want to undertake any major editing of his sub-article, but I've found that farming him in Hard Mode is Very Easy rather than Medium. Simply dying immediately outside the gate saves you the trouble of having to run past the Shadow Warriors, etc., and then it's a clear path to his location. At that point, having taken Armor of Earth over Obsidian Flame or Dash, Simply follow the traditional farm pattern. I'll edit this in if I get the go-ahead, or if a few days pass without any comment. Otherwise, anyone may feel free to add this note. (Already added a note about taking Armor of Earth.) cedave(contributions_buildpage) 02:05, 15 August 2007 (CEST)

Kephket Marrowfest

In the description on how to farm Kephket Marrowfest, it lists many more than 8 skills. I can be inferred that only one interupt is needed, but the skill combo itself involves 7 skills and adding in death charge and feigned neutrality makes a total of 10 skills

Hmmm... you appear to be correct, the skill combo is 7 skills, plus an interrupt = 8, plus Feigned/Refuge = 9. (Deaths Charge is mentioned in the skill combo). That is odd though. Defiant Elements Sig Test 2 *Defiant Elements* +talk 07:44, 22 August 2007 (CEST)
Farming this boss very very hard. I've managed to kill this boss once out of many tries and with a lot of skill experimentation (but I did get the green!). The surrounding enemies use touch skills that trump Shadow Form, plus the very high degen caused by the trappers. This is on NM. 00:01, 6 March 2008 (EST)

Problems with Bosses

A quick remedy I've found for most bosses in HM, and NM for that matter, is replacing Shock and Aftershock with Elemental Lord and Obsidian Flame. EL boosts Silver Armors damage up a bit, and Obsidian Flame deals wonderful armor ignoring damage. drop shock/aftershock/dash, bring shell shock, obsidian flame, stone daggers. He's too resistant to ele damage to die w/out cracked armor. Make sure to aggro the patrolling wardens, it will take 2 tries if there is a warden of forests because he will take sliver from the boss. This will work for Rahse Windcatcher too, but it takes several tries since he has even more elemental resistance. ----Cobalt

Are we waiting for something?

I'm pretty sure anyone with half a mind wouldn't use this in PvP, so why not change it a little with some of the new PvE only and EN skills? I'm thinking along the lines of:

Shadow Form Death's Charge Intensity Glyph of Elemental Power Sliver Armor "Finish Him!" Dark Escape Dash

For a good amount of the bosses I find Dash alone to be useful enough to reach them, so most of the time I just swap it for a damaging skill, cracked armor makes quite an effect of bosses though. Wyvern 00:49, 29 September 2007 (CEST)

Shadow of Haste

Wouldn't shadow of haste be much more effective than dark escape for getting out of the area after the boss is killed, With dash as stance breaker? Tai

Yeah, but the purpose of this build is mainly to kill the boss, get the loot, and be done with it because it would be ridiculously slow to farm normal enemies, so unless there was a good reason shadow of haste would be useless, plus Dark Escape is an all around awesome skill, halves the damage of all damage taken, making many of the runs that have some distance before getting to the boss. Earth Attunement, I recommend you bring this skill, since veiled nightmare makes your spells too expensive.--Dark Paladin X 20:54, 6 October 2007 (CEST)
I forgot to add a few things that I experienced (you will have to work around these situations):
 • Sometimes, the Shadow patrol would just stop dead track and won't move closer to Exuro's mob, that is because if you might notice, you will just see 4 Shadow Army guys in the patrol. You should aggro them and Shadow Beast| should appear and get yourself killed without using Shadow Form. Then they should start patrolling. All you need to do is just aggro the Shadow Army foes again and don't spam your obsidian flame due to your death penalty (yes, just only sliver should do it). Rezone if the Shadow Beast didn't appear.
 • The Shadow Army patrol may sometimes have a Shadow Warrior with them. In this case, the difficulty would increase to Hard instead of Medium because Sliver would dumbfoundly target the warrior instead of the boss. I think it is possible to fight Exuro with the warrior around. If so, please tell so how to do this.

Warrior Construct

I've got absolutely no trouble running to the warrior construct and even getting next to him AND getting it to target him, but, 90% of the time, as soon as an assassin or ranger approaches it switches targets. I use shadow of haste for protection, but I end up killing so many that there's not enough left for me to kill the construct. Any tips?

Chkkr Ironclaw

Will someone please make a video or explain this better. I can easily get to the shrine nearest to him but there are a few problems:

The wardens (a lot of the time) spawn on the shrine so I have no time to target him, they also interrupt SF and kill me in either mode. What does this mean? Does someone want to rewrite it? (Taken from here) -- DGCollard talk|contribs 16:18, 24 November 2007 (CET)

Yeah I'd like clarification on that one too if possible-- 01:36, 7 December 2007 (CET)

Its supposed to say "When Sliver Armor deals only half damage to bosses, it will also end your run." 22:12, 16 January 2008 (EST)

Very Creative

i like the uniqueness of this build, i use it on my assassin, i dont have all the proper gear yet but the 300+ damage in a few seconds is a good sign, i can already kill most bosses with it.

required AL

does this build require max armor or can u get by with the armor craftable in shing jea monastery? Doophus Two -- December 22 2007 12:56 MT

Any armor will do for the killing, because shadow form protects you, but you may need something to get to farming place. Jarkus4 09:49, 25 February 2008 (EST)

Horai Wingshielder

i've farmed this boss lots, some maneuvering required to get to it, but its very possible

fenrir is possible in Hard Mode

Sliver fenrir

Fenrir is possible in Hard Mode, the downside is that sliver has a tendency NOT to target him. Bring glyph of concentration or deadly paradox to reduce the chance of being interrupted while casting shadow form. --Dark Paladin X 18:33, 30 December 2007 (EST)

For the prophesies bosses, are they the only ones that you can farm, or are there more, but haven't been added yet? If that truely is it... then wow.

You can basically farm any boss with a big mob and few interrupts with a little tinkering. --71.229 19:28, 6 January 2008 (EST)

Nolani Academy doesnt work

Im using this exact build, manuvering to where the boss is, im doin everything right, but the boss dont die, its useless. IGN Saithe Shadow 19:25, 16 January 2008 (EST)

It does work. Like most solo farming builds, it takes practice. At first, it seems impossible. Try someone easy like the Scar Eater or Woe Spreader. Then Nolani is a breeze. -- 15:36, 21 January 2008 (EST)

Nolani isn't much hard, but need little practise with timing telepor to boss. But try farm cca 50x runs (1 run take 1min +/-) with E/A (is little faster), but get nothing valuable. Some gold and one lockpick and normal tome. So dont know if it's good spend time with this...

I agree If there is a flame wielder Its not possible, the AoE damage will tear you up. AND add the fact that Sliver armor might not target him so there is a EXTREMELY LOW chance, Im prety mad i spent a month getting this guy armor, money, skill,s ascending, everything fors Build that doesnt work. I dont have much I was depending on Nolani. If someone can prove me wrong then add me in game (Last Akkadian) and show me... ---Nvm I just found out if you cast shadow form before they target you your fine

wtf xuekao in HM is impossible

I tried farming this bastard several times. I grabbed the rez and yes I let the am fah kill all jade brotherhood. But when I get to him and kill him, I ended up dead (yes I use shadow and yes I use sliver and yes I spammed obby) and he ended having 33% health left. WTF is this!!?! And iwas trying on him so i can different kinds of bosses to farm in HM in case if I do a video or somethin.--Dark Paladin X 00:37, 2 February 2008 (EST)

just practice in normal mode 1st and when u get the hang of it, do hm. farming just takes time and patience =DIlikefarts 01:57, 24 March 2008 (EDT)

Main bar

It's balls. Needs more optional slots and fewer boss-specific combos. --71.229 17:12, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

If you think this is balls, plz do us a favor and /uninstall. This is possibly the most widely used, and best farming build out there now. It's amazing, plus the specific combos tell you what helps with certain bosses. Its fine as it is. Assault EnchantmentsVhang The Reaper (talk · contributions) 07:44, 6 May 2008 (EDT)

I read that they nerfed the Sunreach/Falaharn farm. Can anybody confirm or deny that? PizzaboyFaul 10:31, 23 April 2008 (EDT)

Perma Shadow Form Outdoes this by a fair bit now--Goldenstar 21:43, 26 May 2008 (EDT)
