As with the other build that I've submitted, I've used this one extensively in AB, RA, and CM's like Ft. Aspenwood. It's proven itself time and again when capturing shrines and aiding my teamates. On that note, bash away.  :D KaHasuken 01:41, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

Trying to do too much at once, in my opinion. I'd suggest dropping Jagged for Leaping Mantis and Blinding Power for something more useful like Crit. Defenses. But then this build turns into a spin-off of the normal MS/DB build. I have wanted to put FTW! in an assassin spike, though. --The preceding srsly srs comment was added by Itokaru 01:50, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
Inferior to the conventional DB/MS spam. Zyke 01:57, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
I'm not trying to make a DB/MS spammer. About the above commment from Itokaru: Leaping Mantis sounds like a viable variant skill but I like Blinding Powder because it not only helps myself by my teamates as well. Whereas I can't Critical Defenses enchant my monk, I can blind the melee attacker shooting off attack skills at him/her. However, I understand where you're coming from. Very well... seeing as the idea of an assassin being flexible and yet decent at the same time seems impossible here, I've retooled the build to the spike chain version I had made a while back. It has it's problems but at least it's more "focused"... whoa, sorry if that sounded a little whiney. =.= KaHasuken 02:52, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

Jagged Strike is pretty bad, and DB > Nine Tails. Looks a lot more focused, though. --The preceding srsly srs comment was added by Itokaru 03:05, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
Osht, just noticed the rune suicide. 15 Dagger Mastery has very little advantage over 13 mastery. Run 11+1+1 Crit strikes and 12+1 DM, imo. --The preceding srsly srs comment was added by Itokaru 03:09, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

"Find Their Weakness!" Way of the Assassin Golden Fox Strike Wild Strike Horns of the Ox Falling Lotus Strike Blades of Steel Optional

Optional is either resurrection signet or assassin's remedy.

"Find Their Weakness!" Way of the Assassin Golden Phoenix Strike Horns of the Ox Falling Spider Blades of Steel Assassin's Remedy Resurrection Signet

Shorter chain, tad less reliable. Brandnew. 03:49, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

I like the first one better. Spam during down-time. Zyke 03:50, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
Yeah, about Jagged Strike, I just used that to generate a Twisting Fangs effect because I believe that the degeneration from the bleeding makes up for the fact that there's no bonus damage and the fox attacks were just for the unblockable ability so it could be an easy finish. That first sample skill set that was posted looked pretty interesting. It's not super spike but definitely viable and I like the spammable idea.
I used the rune set-up I have on my PvE sin because that just seems to work for my builds. I'll go about fixing that right now. 10:03, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

y/n? as good as this build can get anyway imo. Brandnew. 14:41, 4 October 2008 (EDT) I might as well. I might end up doing it later tonight or something because I wanted to add some other skills for variants. 18:55, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

Moved to testing

... Yup. It's still up for changes, I suppose. It's NOTHING like the original draft that I use in game lulz. However, I'm open to comments from the community. I also changed the edit to the build page made by someone that said Twisting Fangs can swap in for Blades of Steel. I felt that was just a little redundant due to the basis of the build being one of incorporating "Find Their Weakness!" KaHasuken 21:00, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

No snare/ims, and a slow IAS. Standard 5 skill chain involves cripple + unsuspect - jungle - tramp - fall lotu - twisting, this drops jungle, twisting, and trampling, for wild, blades, and horn. For example purposes, lets compare Flail, "YAA", unsuspect, jungle, trampling, falling lotus, twisting, vs this. Comparing bonus damage, twisting (+18 + bleeding) vs blades (+60), trampling (+18) vs horns (+10), jungle (+23 +27) vs wild (+32 and stance removal). Chain 1 does +86 + bleeding. Chain 2 does +102. Chain 1 has a snare, a 33% ias. Chain 2 has no snare, an 18% ias, and a 31% boost to critical rate. Trading off a snare for 16 bonus damage on a chain, and dw at a random point in the chain, is meh. Between the two, i'd go for a snare and 33% ias. Kamer sig Kamer (Talk|Contributions) 23:28, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

IMS is in variants. Find Their Weakness provides the DW and Way of The Assassin, eventhough a bad one, still is an IAS. :> Brandnew. 05:11, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
You are probably right that this is inferior to YAA though. Brandnew. 05:12, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

What this should be

<pvxbig> [Build prof=A/P Dagger=12+1+1 Crit=12+1 command=3]["Find Their Weakness!"][Way of the Assassin][Leaping Mantis Sting][Jungle Strike][Horns of the Ox][Falling Spider][Blades of Steel][Resurrection Signet][/build] </pvxbig>

  • Deep Wound + Blades of Steel is massive damage.
  • Leaping Mantis Sting is your snare, not very reliable but much better than no snare at all.
  • Jungle Strike speeds up your chain and can add more damage.
  • HotO for disruption (bring trampling if your brave enough).
  • Falling Spider, no need for Falling Lotus since 13 crit strikes + WotA is lol energy.
  • BoS, loldamage.

It's pretty niche and there isn't many ways to fit deep wound into a BoS bar (BB Sin and some weird shove sins can, and AoD sin but that's it). --FrostyMini england 08:37, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

And and also change the name, and the description, mini spikes in between gtfo. Something like Blades of Weakness or Hidden Wound or I dunno but Fist of the Hidden Fang is gay. --FrostyMini england 08:39, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

I actually had an idea like this and thought nobody else would think of it, you did though, but the current write up has made it a lot better. --FrostyMini england 15:30, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

And sin spike with Blades of steel and deep wound is powerful, and the fact that the deep wound is stapled in the build without using a crappy skills (like golden fang strike) is amazing. --Frosty 11:57, 11 December 2008 (EST)

  • Trampling_Ox deals more damage & has a faster recharge. In that sense its a better KD Than Horns of the Ox
  • However If cripple is removed within 1.73 seconds the target will not be KDed.
  • In comparison Horns of the Ox is not susceptible to fast Condition removal but will cause problems if the target is next to someone, which i think is as likely to happen as a 1.73 second condition removal.
  • Therefore I feel Trampling Ox should be in the variants, anyone agree? Xiay 11:35, 11 February 2009 (EST)
Currently HotO is mainbar just in case. (You don't have a that reliable cripple unless you are good. And no one on pvx is :>) I agree that trampling should be at least in variants though, yes. Brandnew. 11:37, 11 February 2009 (EST)
Also correction on my previous comment the foe has to get rid of the condition in (1.73-18%) around 1.4seconds. I'll add it to the variantsXiay 11:40, 11 February 2009 (EST)

its not, it was a hero battles bar with excess tags, which someone removed when hb was removed. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gringo (talk • contribs) (UTC). 23:04, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
