Interesting. The options for enchantments aren't very good, though, for PvP, at least, since most sin enchants are fairly long recharge or don't last long. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 05:18, 21 September 2007 (CEST)

Yeah, it's a pain. Maybe BLS instead and Siphon Speed instead of an enchant? — Skakid9090 05:19, 21 September 2007 (CEST)
Maybe, although GPS is pretty gud. Also, maybe work in Assassin's Remedy(which now seems pretty ownzzz to me) or Signet of Malice for condi removal or blind immunity(in the case of Remedy). --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 05:21, 21 September 2007 (CEST)

If the target has to be out of the 'nearby' range of allies, why not just use HotO + Siphon? Basicly does the same thing as YAA but gives a better snare + less conditional kd and saves your elite slot. Hopefully I'm not missing something that makes me look utterly stupid. --Teh Uber Pwnzer 06:45, 21 September 2007 (CEST)

No half-range, weakness (lol kidding), shouts are easier to time. — Skakid9090 21:43, 21 September 2007 (CEST)
Yeah, shouts are a bit easier to time, but the advantages of using YAA as your elite are trivial. The radius of 'nearby' is massive compared to adjacent. Enemies have to basically be stacked on each other for adjacent range, and half range is no big deal(especially since if you don't use YAA close enough cripple wont last long enough to trigger Trampling Ox). So really, weakness(lol) and the cast time of Siphon are the only advantages. --Teh Uber Pwnzer 03:04, 22 September 2007 (CEST)
I dunno then, for some reason I like YAA better =P — Skakid9090 16:49, 23 September 2007 (CEST)

What i think u guys are forgetting is that YAA does crippled. Without YAA, trampling ox doesnt give u a kd and you wont be able to use falling spider. that is why he has YAA and not siphon. Yaa is a ranged cripple, so it allows u to snare the enemy from farther away then with siphon speed.Klomi 00:11, 8 October 2007 (CEST)

i dont think anyone forgot that YAA! cripples...--User Hamstorm Hamstring HAMSTORM User Hamstorm Firestorm

Why is Critical Strikes at 14? The energy gain from critical strikes breaks at 13, and Assassin's Remedy breaks at 13, and the deep wound + bleeding only last a second longer at 14 crit. Kamer 02:51, 8 October 2007 (CEST)

Counter for weakness ;) — Skakid9090 03:15, 8 October 2007 (CEST)
What do you mean counter for weakness? Even if you still got the 13 breakpoint with weakness, you'd still be doing no damage at all. -- Nova Jirouji-Nova -- (contribs) 03:29, 8 October 2007 (CEST)
...what? — Skakid9090 03:39, 8 October 2007 (CEST)
He's got a point, if you're going for energy or whatever just drop off weakness with assassin's remedy. Or don't. Conditions don't last long in the current meta. --Powersurge 03:59, 8 October 2007 (CEST)

Im gonna have to echo what others have said. This build doesnt fix the problems with horns of the ox, which is people standign next to eachother. trampling ox goes around adjacent by reqqing cripple instead of aloneness.....but YAA requires the also be alone... and if they arent the combo fails. the build is good enough to be posted though, definately unique. I think the build should go in the direction of YAA + trample, and working in signet of deadly corruption or soemthing... ( 04:10, 8 October 2007 (CEST))

Cripple can come from other sources than YAA. Trampling Ox does more damage than Horns. Kamer 04:49, 8 October 2007 (CEST)

why dont you swap out falling lotus, put in falling spider then for the optional put in SoDC ( Signet of Deadly Corruption )Pwnted 00:27, 4 February 2008 (EST)

Other combo

The current bar is really bad. If the target is in nearby range of another foe the combo fails, if your enchantment gets removed the combo fails. Only YAA that sees play in HB is:

'You're All Alone!' Leaping Mantis Sting Jungle Strike Trampling Ox Falling Spider Twisting Fangs Dash Flail

  • Flail -> Tiger Stance/Flurry
  • Trampling Ox -> Horns of the Ox
  • Dash -> Dark Prison

Bar Change? Viable?

I have actually seen YAA run with the combo above, so I updated the bar. It's been awhile since I've ran YAA, but I've seen it work to some degree. I'm pretty new at Wiki, so I might have done it wrong. ABAdventures 13:21, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Is perfectly viable. For future reference, you should leave a note here like I've done when the build requires a vote wipe. -Shen 13:38, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Add HotO to variants list?

Since YAA requires the target to be alone, then it means HotO will work 100% of the time, whereas there's always the chance that LMS hit the foe when he/she stopped for a moment, killing the chain. Because of this, I would argue that HotO is a better skill in most circumstances than TO. Also, for those without EotN (like me), HotO is a viable variant to TO. I think we should add HotO under variants as a variant for TO. --Li ja 17:52, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

Go ahead, but it doesn't matter if LMS procs or not because YAA already provides the cripple. --71.229 17:57, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

RA, really?

I assume this works nice in HB and CM, but in RA it sucks. People tend to mob together and move less around (esp. on small maps or when they've spirit ritus with them) so I had trouble to trigger any of the two crippling skills to start a chain. Did 13 rounds with it now and am not pleased at all. Did it work out well for anyone? Will try CM, can image it'll be nice there vs. the runners and solo cappers. --Labomu 17:52, 4 November 2008 (EST)

Snaring is so fun in CM ;D (I added Wild Blow vs the rangers who think a stance will save them ^^). Pity I cannot overtake mines and hostile command bases (luxon side). So, thumbs up for CM, thumbs down for RA. --Labomu 20:22, 4 November 2008 (EST)

seems like this can only be used on the odd target that lost his group in AB meaning unless you wanna spend ur entire time running around on ur own looking for others on their own you will be useless. please remove AB tag

Jungle Strike be better? 2 secs more recharge but stronger spike Exo Oo 17:16, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Isn't Jungle Strike still bugged? (it didn't/doesn't do the bonus +dmg to target, only to adjacents). ~ ín§ídíou§420 18:07, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
I didn't know it was bugged. that's a bit lame Exo Oo 18:41, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
Yea the bonus damage that is applied to a target when they are crippled used to affect just the target (so it did like +60 total damage) but since the AoE update, that damage is now just AoE so it's like +25 damage to your target, and 30 AoE damage. Shit. --Frosty Frostcharge 18:45, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
Considering how your lead is still 8 sec recharge, I dont see how the new 6 second off-hands will affect this. For the most part, YAA fuels the spike and that is 10 sec as well, giving you maybe two sec of downtime.Icedearth2 08:41, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
