A fun effective build in RA. The element of surprise is a big help too. --EvertonangelusEVANERGELTONUS 21:10, 25 January 2009 (EST)

fun stuff, was this the one i posted on that talk somewhere? Gringo 21:11, 25 January 2009 (EST)
Yeah, made it into another build. Just put the other one into testing. --EvertonangelusEVANERGELTONUS 21:13, 25 January 2009 (EST)
Normally I'm not one for faggy non-meta builds, but this is pretty awesome. Napalm Napalm Flame Sig Flame contributions 09:01, 26 January 2009 (EST)

This is pro tbh, pretty much as much powerheal as WoH with better emanagement and condition removal--GoldenGoldenstarStar 17:17, 26 January 2009 (EST)

not vetted yet, but if it does its because of sexy saints buildmaking. Gringo 23:26, 26 January 2009 (EST)
and there it goes. gee gee Gringo 23:32, 26 January 2009 (EST)
I just shat myself too...--IkimonoNeeds more ParagonMonk-Paragon-icon 02:06, 27 January 2009 (EST)

Okay....

Now that we're all over the amazement of a D/Mo actually getting vetted, i think we need to do something. I know it's against PvX policy, but has anyone ACTUALLY tested this? Are all these votes theorycraft, or does this actually work? LifeLife Guardian-AoF 20:52, 27 January 2009 (EST)

I actually ran this, it's pretty decent, only prob is ppl ganking u cause u do not have as much self heal as a monk does MuffinPWNAGEMUFFIN crabs 20:55, 27 January 2009 (EST)
I've actually played against these in RA, and they're pretty hard to crack due to weakness, lots of block, and lack of cond removal. crazyCowcow 20:55, 27 January 2009 (EST)
hmmi made a point of running it for a few hours, which is why i changed attributes it needed more energy. 3 hours = 12 glads, not bad for RA i guess...Saint 20:56, 27 January 2009 (EST)
@Muffin, Vital Boon -> SoPL a lot? crazyCowcow 20:57, 27 January 2009 (EST)
not spammable -_- MuffinPWNAGEMUFFIN crabs 22:07, 27 January 2009 (EST)
Big enough when paired with armor sanc/life sheath that it doesnt have to be, its a huge self heal.. Saint 22:10, 27 January 2009 (EST)
not if your getting ganked 24/7 MuffinPWNAGEMUFFIN crabs 22:13, 27 January 2009 (EST)
so nothing is holding back your offense because theyre all on you, and if you actually run it youll realize that in 4v4 its not hard to stay alive with this. Saint 22:16, 27 January 2009 (EST)
point is monk> this MuffinPWNAGEMUFFIN crabs 22:17, 27 January 2009 (EST)
sigh, going to force me to explain? this has superior protting abilities (life sheath doesnt have to remove a condition to act like RoF), this can easily handle palm strike sins (the most meta frontliner in RA by far), this can pump out power heals (eles and other high damage characters are very common in RA, and a monk cant always handle the damage they throw out), this can handle hexes just as well, and shield of force is great defense, especially against rangers. this also has superior energy management, meaning this can hold up for a long time with no blue bar issues at all. Saint 22:22, 27 January 2009 (EST)
imo i still think monks > this MuffinPWNAGEMUFFIN crabs 22:24, 27 January 2009 (EST)
Making me type out an entire argument and then responding with a statement and absolutely nothing to back it up is kind of stupidly non constructive. Saint 22:29, 27 January 2009 (EST)

Aura of Thorns a viable alternative to Shield of Force? Keeps the melee off your back well, also gets +win for being an enchantment and meshing with Armor of Sanctity, and bleeding as an end effect is just bonus points. --Noobslayer

Problem then becomes rangers, who can get your SoPL down which leaves you with not enough healing, and/or warriors who will sit you on your ass =/. Saint 22:30, 27 January 2009 (EST)
ok fine here's my explanation: I deleted my pve derv and my pve monk has a voltaic spear dyed black and matching armor and looks awsome, and my pvp derv doesnt look as cool, and coolness is a vital attribute in RA MuffinPWNAGEMUFFIN crabs 22:37, 27 January 2009 (EST)

Lingering Curse

This build is suprisingly effective, however, lingering necros are extreamly common in RA now and 1 hex remover just doesnt cut it. Even before the buff to lingering monks would typically bring 2 hex removers, but it wasn't a neccesity, now with the lingering buff 2 hex removers is mandatory. While it's exciting to see a derv healer in the great category for RA, it will probably end up in the good category because it is inferior to monks with 2 hex removers in this meta.(Timcago 23:53, 27 January 2009 (EST)).

Yes, it is hard to powerheal in excessive pressure. Mystic Regen may be able to help self-healing though. Mightymousemoush 00:00, 28 January 2009 (EST)

No rez Signet?

Are you going to say this build is the equivalent of a monk build that can get away without a Rez Signet? Kiteeye 01:54, 28 January 2009 (EST)
