Wrong it works like this: Attunement + GoLE + Blinding Surge = energy gain. But gole was specificly made for the water magic spelss. Shock arrow is in the build for 2 reasons. 1 for extra energy management and 2. The old version of this build used LIGHTNING STRIKE which has the same casting, recharge, and energy as shock arrow. The only difference is this one gives back 8 energy (+2 from Attunement) which the other just does extra damage.--XCrossfire Godlysig14 09:31, 23 April 2008 (EDT)
Yeah, like cross says, you can't spam bsurge with simply attune and get away with it. GoLE is for the ward and a single other spell every 30 seconds; it isn't the end-all e management spell. When you add in orb... you run out quick. Shock arrow is necessary.
GvG tag is kind of bad on this though. Either run water or air, both have full bars of good skills (or at least, you can supplement air's lack of good skills with wards). -Auron 05:10, 24 April 2008 (EDT)
Auron, the water magic spells are for both support and offense. If you have... say 3 wars attacking you, frozen burst then Lightning surge then theyre all blinded for like 8 seconds. They dont have enough time to seperate because theyre snared. Also can be very effective when monks for example need to kite and are being attacked, and if an enemy is coming close, and you snare them real quick. it has its uses. Also Frozen Burst is for kiting when, you are being attacked also. Think how pissed the foe is when they move 66% slower, blinded, and youre happily taking energy with shock arrow lol.--XCrossfire Godlysig14 08:49, 24 April 2008 (EDT)

The changes will be reverted. Read the dev notes; they're focusing on changes that only affect GvG in the future. More of the "npcs don't get healed from recuperation" is what we'll see, less of the universal skill nerfs. -Auron 06:00, 25 April 2008 (EDT)

This build works pretty great Imo. I tried it out in RA, and it kept basicly the entire opposing team pissed off. Snares are very good for kiting andhelping out allies, and B-surge keeps them blind. Its a lot of Utility tbh, but it works.PhoenixKìεsτ (talk/pvxcontribs) 09:52, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
