Patient is now 2 seconds. Someone needs to update the descriptions Sebsig Seb2net (Talk) 15:25, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Yes! That is important, though it was effective before the buff. I don't know how--or if--a regular user can update skill descriptions, otherwise I'd be happy to. --Rolo 22:19, 18 January 2008 (EST)
Hero's don't use most of the skills in GW well... how do they do on these?--Styxx HLFrans 15:28, 18 January 2008 (EST)
I don't know about most but I know what you mean; I have seen the AI be clueless with some skills and get downright catatonic with certain combinations (but not with the individual skills separately). With the AI, simplicity seems to be the key: give it straightforward things to do and it will do them well.
This hero Monk is a staple in my party, whether in a PUG or just playing with my wife and her heroes. For Master/Elite dungeons, she brings a variant of Build:Mo/Me Blessed Light Hero to compliment this one. Etiquette and soliciting feedback are why I put this in the Trial category first...I've been using this (and a pre-Patient Spirit version) of this build as a Monk and for heroes for nearly a year. It is proven, but I want it to be perfect. Try it out and post your observations. --Rolo 22:19, 18 January 2008 (EST)
LoD is crap now with holy haste and really epic fail without.-- Korineczek--(Toalk--Koantribooshns) 11:24, 24 January 2008 (EST)
It's still good with Holy Haste. Mike Tycn(punch out) 11:25, 24 January 2008 (EST)
If you look up "mediocre" in the dictionary you'll see Orison's skill icon on the top of the page. You could at least use Ethereal Light as the monk shouldn't ever get targeted. Sebsig Seb2net (Talk) 11:29, 24 January 2008 (EST)
Monks always get targeted in PvE (especially in the more populated areas and especially with heroes). Using Ethereal Light over Orison will leave you without an available heal skill (due to its recharge time) when the healer is needed most. The additional 30 health (142 vs. 112) isn't worth the recharge risk or the interrupt risk...its a gamble with much to lose and little to gain. A reliable 112 HP 2-sec recharge is the de facto standard, not mediocre. --Rolo 18:26, 31 January 2008 (EST)
Prot the monk up, imo. — Rapta Rapta Icon1 (talk|contribs) 18:35, 31 January 2008 (EST)
Or don't run a major and radiants as this build suggests. Easiest way to avoid enemy fire in PvE. Racthoh 17:50, 13 March 2008 (EDT)

LoD

  • Since they nerfed this skill i dont think is works as an elite any more as you can get heal party which may cost more energy but does heal for more if your looking to keep the "party heal" but thats my opinion, i havent used LoD Since they nerfed it even tho it has a fast cast the recharge time is killer.

I use WoH or ZB (not saying these would work in your build or that they wouldnt its just what i use)

If you absolutely need a cheap party heal, Divine Healing and Heaven's Delight would probably replace LoD now, but that depends if you're within Earshot of your allies. -Mike 16:43, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
Earshot is very nearly spell-range; no reason why you wouldn't be in range. Heroes use Heaven's Delight fine. -Shen 07:57, 18 March 2008 (EDT)

WTB prots, WTS random heal skills

Orison is bad, way to many heals not enough prots, especially prot spirit where things in hard mode do 200s to 80 armor people. Divine Spirit is bad unless your facing hex stacks and using Deny Hexes. But good hex stacks in pve? Drop the res also, monks ressing in mid battle is bad, and if you really wanted an outside of battle res you would take rebirth. Antiarchangel Antiarchangel No U Sig NO U 12:36, 22 March 2008 (EDT)
