Impossible to achieve rune bonus with non primary class. - You may want to load scourge enchantment instead of the signet to further add to the degen and let you mess with the monks a little more. Shireen 07:35, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

? Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 07:36, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

I meant the glyph, sorry, Not scourge, Corrupt, It's really late here. Shireen 07:37, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

What I meant to say is, How can you have energy storage on a non Elementalist? And instead of the Glyph, you could bring Corupt enchantments. Thats an elite, Sorry. Shireen 07:38, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

I am tired, I forgot to save the edit lol. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 07:39, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

No worries, GL with this one. Shireen 07:39, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

Atts are weird. You can go 12/12/3 without runes, why are you 11/12? - Kowal Krowman (talkcontribs) 08:13, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

Sorry dude, if you want to fix them go ahead. I am mega tired, and I have some tests tomorrow, so if you want to fix the atts I'd appreciate it. If not, I'll do them tommorow. *yawn* Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 08:39, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

Np. - Kowal Krowman (talkcontribs) 08:39, 18 May 2007 (CEST)
Mind if I change them to Minor runes? You don't miss any breakpoints, and it would save you 70 health on a squishy. - Kowal Krowman (talkcontribs) 08:41, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

SoLS is a waste, better skills to choose; Rotting Flesh (common sight) or Suffering (my personal fave for this build, for a number of reasons). But either one is better than SoLS, which is unnecessary in a build with elite energy management and gole. Edit: and soul reaping. -Auron 13:39, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

K, left note in varients. Don't want to change it until everyone agrees that the last skill is RF or Suffering. 24.10.242.177 14:42, 18 May 2007 (CEST)

If you're going to sub SoLS out, put in Suffering. The disease caused by RF will just end being spread back onto your own teammates (unless you've got someone with Tainted Flesh) and put greater strain on your monks. Hexes are also harder for the other team to remove than conditions, so I'd recommend Suffering as well. - Kowal Krowman (talkcontribs) 18:38, 18 May 2007 (CEST)
You don't throw rotting flesh around at random o.O You throw it on when your team clearly has the upper hand and your monks can handle it; it usually makes the difference between the other team holding out and crumbling under pressure. -Auron 04:41, 19 May 2007 (CEST)

Im not liking this build. Although RM is a great energy managment hex, you can't kill anyone. I wouldn't mind if RM recharge was lower, but spamming RM on everyone to get the energy bonus is impossible. Mgelo21 00:24, 19 May 2007 (CEST)

Spreading -9 degen as well as shutting down melee is pretty good pressure. And you don't seem to need both GoLE and Signet unless you're the target of e-denial, one of those should go. Tycn 03:27, 19 May 2007 (CEST)
Necros don't kill anyone anyway, that's a job left to warriors or dervishes. People in PvP aren't stupid enough to kill themselves via spiteful spirit or whatnot. -Auron 04:41, 19 May 2007 (CEST)
Auron, try playing a blood necro before saying necros don't kill anyone... A real bloody spammer, not a weird pressure/support.
In high-end PvP, necros kill shit. Blood-spike is dead, so QQ. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 04:05, 12 July 2007 (CEST)

Standard Necro build for Hex/pressure. I've ran it with both suffering and RF. Highly prefer RF. The disease spreads to your melee, so they can spread it further, and those 4 degen over the whole team do a big difference against an already outpressured team. Also it will help your RC heal up ppl. Feriluce 06:19, 20 May 2007 (CEST)

Agree, 100% standard build. RF is definitely the most popular choice for that empty slot; personally I like rip enchantment. Phool 12:48, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
Will leave optional then. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 15:42, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

I don't get it. If glyph is optional, why is the build still an ele secondary? Why not switch to mez and either take archane echo (if spreading around hexes is so important) or take some inspiration magic like channeling or an interrupt like leech sig. User:englishbob

Glyph isn't optional. The Rotting Flesh/Suffering spot is. besides this is PvP, echo is always a bad idea, and Interrupts are not necessary for this Nec. If a Necro is in GvG, this is what he is running. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 18:32, 16 June 2007 (EDT)

This is the most annoying build ever in RA. Very annoying for dervs using mystic regen with +9 regen. It works very well in RA to me and is standard. Glad someone finally posted it.--Relyk 03:59, 12 July 2007 (CEST)

Blured Vision[]

I am running this build in GvG for a long time now with Blured Vision and it realy performs well, might want to add this to the variants? Cookieaddictedmonster 12:17, 21 June 2007 (EDT)

Blurred ain't good or needed, you already have reckless haste for missing. Unexist 18:19, 22 June 2007 (EDT)
If you spamm all your hexes on one target, I would have to agree with you. ;) At least in every gvg I played there where always at least 2 mele-classes (or rangers, paragons and so on) Cookieaddictedmonster 03:02, 23 June 2007 (EDT)
In GvG this build is almost always accompanied with a water ele flagger who will already have blurred. BV requires pretty high investment to be effective, wouldn't put it in variants personally. I've also never seen it used on obs or come across a team using it on their nec. Phool 03:06, 23 June 2007 (EDT)

Lost its imba-ness :([]

Someone is going to tell me what has happened when I get back...this nerf makes me a bit sad :(. Still works ok I am sure :). Well back to being miserable in Georgia ttyl... Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 01:37, 19 July 2007 (CEST)

GoC[]

Maybe add Glyph of Concentration to the Variants. --84.143.242.139 02:27, 20 July 2007 (CEST)

AB[]

Couldn't this build be used in AB aswell? --MrMetalFLower 12:26, 24 July 2007 (CEST)

I guess, but in AB, you want fast-moving capture builds that can nuke all the points though. Fire Magic eles wit Flame Djinn's Haste and SF/SH etc. - Kowal Krowman {{sysop}} 20:00, 24 July 2007 (CEST)

PvE?[]

Any Reaper's Mark builds i can use for pve? Dean 06:14, 29 July 2007 (CEST) Mesmer

It would be better to stick with SS since the RM nerf. Tycn 11:51, 29 July 2007 (CEST)

Wasn't SS always better in PvE lol? Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 02:52, 30 July 2007 (CEST)

RM has been nerfed not only once but twice, first to 12 and then to 15 seconds recharge. Really, is this build still that good?

In a general sense, yes. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 18:14, 31 July 2007 (CEST)

Question on Sec classs[]

Dear all, I was wondering why wasnt a mesmer chosen as the secondary class. Mesmers have anti-melee skills like empathy which complements the antimelee hexes of the necros (reckless haste and price of failure)and mesmers have ether signet and the mana draining skill as well for enegry management. Sorry if I am asking a noob qn. I am rather new to PvP. Thanks for any info Cheers! -- Gary

the prob. with empathy and the like is that it only hurts, rather than shutting down. they can still hit you 3 times, healsig to be back and full, and start hitting you again. with shutdown skills like price of failure and reckless haste, you make them useless so it doesnt even matter if you have to kill them, since you'd be focused on their mesmer/monk anyways. GoLE is very reliable on-demand energy management, which was why it was chosen. — RAWR! Skasig Skakid9090 21:14, 31 July 2007 (CEST)

To expand on what Skakid9090 said, most kills come from quick spikes of damage coordinated between the team. The warriors/dervs are usually the largest part of these spikes. While Empathy does make warriors less likely to frenzy while they're building adrenaline, they can still autoattack just fine, with occasional healsigs to heal the damage, and when they've got the adrenaline(this is the most important bit), it doesn't stop them from spiking. Also, this build has enough hexes, and they're all very good. I personally prefer Rotting Flesh over Suffering, though. --Edru viransu//QQ about me 21:25, 31 July 2007 (CEST)

Understand wat u all mean now, sry for the noob qns... i am new to pvp! Thanks for the replies! -- Gary

Np. Just make an account tho ;). Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 20:05, 1 August 2007 (CEST)

PoF[]

Update PoF to reflect the august 07 nerf. show the new cast cost and the descreased dmg cost. At best pof is now an optional skill for a curse necro primary build because of the energy issues repeated usage will cause. The nerf was meant to slow down me/n and hit necro curse builds/any class harder.

no it's still good you just can't be an idiot. — Skakid9090 19:08, 21 August 2007 (CEST)
Umm... no one cares about Me/N curses. The nerf was to weaken hexway, which does not include a Me/N. PoF is still ownzz. --Edru viransu//QQ about me 21:10, 21 August 2007 (CEST)

Archive?[]

Reaper's Mark is dead nowadays. No one uses it and it's been nerfed quite a bit. Archive this? --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 21:50, 7 October 2007 (CEST)

Anyone feel like commenting? --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 01:01, 9 October 2007 (CEST)
Not really, but you should archive it anyways. =) — Rapta Rapta Icon1 (talk|contribs) 01:03, 9 October 2007 (CEST)
Yes archive, most people just use the Build:N/E Corrupt Warder nowadays, or something similar. User:Viet۷ïεדИǺмЄŠЄ. 01:05, 9 October 2007 (CEST)
Something just came to me. Do people use this in RA/TA over Corrupt Enchantment? — Rapta Rapta Icon1 (talk|contribs) 01:07, 9 October 2007 (CEST)
I don't think so, but I haven't been to either in a while due to my comp failing at life. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 01:08, 9 October 2007 (CEST)
I sat looking for this build quite some time until I realized it was probably archived. The thing is Reaper's Mark isn't dead in RA at least. It's extremely common using spin offs of this build in RA. Healing Burst †Godliest† -- My Sandbox 21:56, 2 November 2007 (CET)

NOOOOOOOO![]

This in archived? What did A-net do to it??! Man I loved this build and they nerfed it :(. Why A-net, WHY?!?!! Image-Dark Morphon's SiggieDark Morphon(contribs) 10:26, 19 November 2007 (CET)

You do realize it was nerfed in June or so, I hope? --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 02:08, 20 November 2007 (CET)

Bad Choice for a Variant[]

Actually Insidious Parasite would be a bad choice because they only have a 75% chance to hit and they have to hit successfully in order for it to affect them. BarragetweakX2 Sig BarragetweakX2 18:08, 8 October 2008 (EDT)
