Hard for me to comment too much without knowing what arena this is for, but I think Depravity is a bit meh outside of HA where everyone has terrible positioning due to the tiny maps and monks trying to channel tank. You mention pre-veiling, but any monk worth their salt will be able to remove Depravity during the aftercast before you can cast Wastrel's Worry so you really need enchantment removal to beat it. - isery (TALK) 07:10, 18 July 2008 (EDT)

needs moar malaise for HA and less parasitic bond, why Pdrain? e-management when you have foul feast, sig of lost souls and soul rape? also needs plague send if foul feast is going to be on main bar Drownz 07:53, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

Plague Sending[]
should at least be a variant/suggestion for the optional. You should also cut out the majority of the anti-melee hexes in the variants because we've got Build:N/E_Depravity_Necro which does the same, and GoLE is more effective there because of the additional 10-15 energy costs. I'm not even sure if Power Drain is necessary in this build because most other Necro's run with higher costing spells (thus the need for GoLE) while this has mostly 5 energy spells. You might be better off cutting out Inspiration Magic altogether so you can put more into Soul Reaping and have better SoLS and energy gains from dead people. ــмıкεнaшк 23:15, 22 July 2008 (EDT)
- If I'm doing that, then I lose the TA tag. No one uses a necro in TA without anti-melee. Big (<3) PEW!! 23:29, 22 July 2008 (EDT)
- I think Dont's version is best: Build_talk:N/E_Depravity_Necro#Update. He was suggesting that we change that other build to it, but I find that the changes are pretty big, and that there's no problem with having two builds like this, like they have a gazillion WoD Necro builds. =P ــмıкεнaшк 23:34, 22 July 2008 (EDT)

what the heck is tht for? all your spells on the main bar range from 5-10, and necros have a large pool of energy to begin with, not to mention soul reaping even--TheNoobPolice 13:31, 23 July 2008 (EDT)

- Variants are ftw, but Plague Sending and Faintheartedness should really be on the main bar, while Defile Defenses is better than Parasitic Bond (because we all hate blocking.) Throw that on the main bar, and work your variants/optionals around it, imo. ــмıкεнaшк 18:27, 23 July 2008 (EDT)
- Parasitic bond is like, the best cover hex ever, why lose it? Big (<3) PEW!! 19:13, 23 July 2008 (EDT)
- It is the best Curses cover hex, but it offers very little utility (other than being a cover.) 114 damage is very nice when a Monk is using Guardian and blocking all of your team's attacks. ــмıкεнaшк 19:21, 23 July 2008 (EDT)
- well, I have Defile up as a variant, meaning it CAN replace parasitic, if need be. Big (<3) PEW!! 19:45, 23 July 2008 (EDT)

HA Variants[]
FF is fine in HA but plague sending really isn't. You're better off with a bar like this:
The only way to make depravity viable there is to be able to keep both monks channeling down and the only way you can do that is by bringing two enchant removals. So imo this build should either be split into a TA version and a HA version, or at least leave a note at the bottom of the page that the HA version should be different. Drahgal Meir 06:28, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Or you can change the usage to reflect the TA/HA uses. Really simple. ~ Big sysop 07:02, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Variants notes that you can drop DD+Plague Send for more hexes, and besides this would be used in a build probably with another necro in HA (therefore you got more ench removal). --Frosty Mc Admin 10:21, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
