Isn't this odd? I posted a VERY similar build and it was shot down. Greevar 22:35, 3 August 2007 (CEST)

How similar and how long ago? This one has been around since shortly after NF came out. What was yours? --VallenIconwhitesmall Vallen Frostweaver 22:58, 3 August 2007 (CEST)
It was around Dec 06 if I recall. I had the idea to spread conditions with epidemic and switched to Fevered by request. Greevar 23:58, 6 August 2007 (CEST)
Well, I didn't see it and came up with it myself but as with everything in the world these days, everything has already been done and you are proof of that then. I guess people were a little more apt to accept the build when I posted it as often builds are not welcomed when first introduced (I was shunned for supporting splinter barrage in tombs as an example). --VallenIconwhitesmall Vallen Frostweaver 03:05, 7 August 2007 (CEST)
It was on the Guild Wiki before the split. They said that the concept wouldn't work. Well I guess people are pretty fickle. Greevar 03:32, 7 August 2007 (CEST)
I checked the dateline for the Fevered Archer build and I it was favored in Dec of '06 (the build was wiped from wiki but I saved the info). There was a lot of Epidemic ranger builds going around at that time that got voted down or merged as a variant into the Fevered Archer (Defiant Elements said that he/she also created one similar a long time before that one too). Either way, I still agree that the public is often not open to new ideas or builds from the get go. As another example, I created a great role for a Paragon to replace a Monk in a Deep Steel Wall group (without Angelic Bond or motivation skills) but the only ones willing to use it or accept it are my guildies and any tag-a-longs that are added into the guild group if we don't have a full 12. Change sometimes comes about very slowly. I guess you need enough people to popularize it before it becomes accepted sometimes. --VallenIconwhitesmall Vallen Frostweaver 16:59, 8 August 2007 (CEST)
I posted a Fevered Dreams Ranger well before Factions ever came out. Of course, this was back when I first started playing the game and I had absolutely no clue how to put together a good build, but yeah, the concept has been around for quite a while. Why even argue about this? Fevered Dreams is the biggest piece of garbage ever. Epidemic works just as well, is easier to setup, easier to run, and allows you to have room for a REAL elite. Myself and 4 other rangers in my guild, not to mention another 4 or 5 in my alliance have tried builds similar to this out of curiosity and the end consensus has been virtually the same,Garbage.
It's good in co-ordinated teams. — Skakid9090 02:47, 4 December 2007 (CET)

AB?

Couldn't this be used for AB? It's always fun to see a limping mob ^^ Majikmajikmajik 03:50, 21 September 2007 (CEST)

Unlikely. The mobs that do appear there will have killed any single members (like yourself usually by spike sins) pretty fast thus negating the time to set up this effect properly and not to mention that large mobs in AB are frowned upon in general though it could be fun against a MM I suppose. Maybe I'll try it and find out what happens. --VallenIconwhitesmall Vallen Frostweaver 03:21, 24 September 2007 (CEST)
I tried it out and it worked ok at times but no speed buff or defense hurt a lot. In a balanced team it worked well as I could poison, bleed, daze, and cripple a whole shrine easily. I tried adding in a few mes skills to help daze which was great at many shrines but then I was nothing but a NPC killer who would die when fighting a real player without support. To sum up, it worked ok but a toucher or a burning arrow ranger seem to do much better as this build is too team dependent and we all know how tough it is to stay in a PuG team in AB. --VallenIconwhitesmall Vallen Frostweaver 16:18, 25 September 2007 (CEST)
