Bam! any comments? I like it Joan %SpamzGodz 10:42, 13 February 2009 (EST)

Magebane makes for horrible turreting--Relyk 10:52, 13 February 2009 (EST)
It's actually used a lot in arena's, its more about the fact you have 2 amazing rupts which can hit any 3/4 cast. FrostrageFrosty po! 11:06, 13 February 2009 (EST)
Why wouldnt u use punishing then?--Relyk 11:11, 13 February 2009 (EST)
Because punishing doesn't lengthen the recharge of spells ;o, and I don't think its unblockable either (but don't quote me on that) this is more of an arena's turret for people who like to rupt WoH and Guardian + add disable FrostrageFrosty po! 11:20, 13 February 2009 (EST)
imo, this works better in ta, since BA turrets can handle most rupts and spike in ra MuffinPWNAGEMUFFIN crabs 11:24, 13 February 2009 (EST)

Thanks for formatting and stuff it happened so fast O_O lol I was planning to work on it in the upcoming week, but it seems I won't have to anymore, I run it often but if the interrupts aren't made effective you won't provide much to the team Joan %SpamzGodz 11:27, 13 February 2009 (EST)

Meh, RtW does make interrupting with a bow amazingly simple, but people who actually do know how to play ranger would deal a lot more pressure running the original Magebane with apply poison. RickyRicksawsmfacevantof 12:00, 13 February 2009 (EST)

You all smell :<. This works rather well with dual ranger in GvG tbh, and it lets you rupt shit without worrying about weapons/guardians/aegis being on a target if you need to rupt something important. It's also annoying if both people are running dual ranger and they camp your fucking preps. --Crowels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 12:09, 13 February 2009 (EST)
Add GvG tag as well maybe? Joan %SpamzGodz 12:14, 13 February 2009 (EST)
Actually I take my comment back, with dual ranger you would run magebane with poison and a BA Turret, was being stupid earlier >.> --Crowels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 18:26, 15 February 2009 (EST)
I take back my take back, Magebane turret with point blank ownzzz :> --Crowels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 15:25, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Care to explain this? Don't quite get it O_o Joan %SpamzGodz 10:57, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Sloth's/Keen over Debil for spike assists? Might want a major marks for that though. ToraenSig1 Toraen Dirt to da face! 17:38, 13 February 2009 (EST)

That's what I usually run it at but is more preference than anything though. Joan %SpamzGodz 18:32, 13 February 2009 (EST)

new version

i liked the old one better tbh --Tai Sig 15:23, 17 February 2009

This is what is run in GvG by crowels, and he is never wrong. This still has big damage + mmore shutdown FrostrageFrosty po! 15:24, 17 February 2009 (EST)
True story. He was brave with his Point Blank Shot against that bspike. - Panic sig7 15:28, 17 February 2009 (EST)
Should there be a major rune of marksmanship? It hits the +10 breakpoint for RtW, and gives some more bow damage. ToraenSig1 Toraen Dirt to da face! 20:24, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Don't you

Run R/Mo or R/N for magebane in dual ranger? Not a turret? crazyCowcow 15:29, 17 February 2009 (EST)

/N variants are only used if you lack rend, R/Mo does give you an advantage on splits but magebane wouldn't be amazing on splits anyway. FrostrageFrosty po! 15:32, 17 February 2009 (EST)
Tbh if you're running dual ranger, you're lacking a rend. And you sorta want your BA running turret. crazyCowcow 15:38, 17 February 2009 (EST)
For a general build its best to have have the optimal skill, flail is optimal for damage, in certain builds though you do run rend though, although GanK did run dual R/W FrostrageFrosty po! 15:40, 17 February 2009 (EST)
I guess with dual R/W Aegis sure as hell shouldn't go up. crazyCowcow 15:42, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Don't you usually run mels + BA when you run dual ranger anyway? O.o--GoldenGoldenstarStar 15:43, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Some people are starting to use magebane instead of mels. crazyCowcow 15:43, 17 February 2009 (EST)
And now people are using it as a turret for stupid spike power FrostrageFrosty po! 15:44, 17 February 2009 (EST)
It does a nice job of shitting on apply and RtW too if you face a Mel's+BA team. - Panic sig7 15:46, 17 February 2009 (EST)
@Frosty, we only ran dual R/W cos I don't think our other ranger was listening when we told him to go rend ;o, and I won't run rend on my bar cos I'm a faggot :>. --Crowels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 16:34, 17 February 2009 (EST)
@Golden, we started running dual magebane or magebane+mels because you do more damage and unblockable rupts or a snare is much better than burning. Only draw back with point blank is half range but you should have time to get there on spikes or whatever so usually point blank > BA. --Crowels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 16:35, 17 February 2009 (EST)
magebane wouldn't be amazing on splits anyway rofl — Skakid Rally- kupo!S9M 22:02, 17 February 2009 (EST)
Melandru's Shot FrostrageFrosty po! 22:09, 17 February 2009 (EST)

The entire point to run magebane in GvG is to get aegis down. People use blocks before it and that actually makes them win the match, desperite you're superior to them. - Unexist.
