I never see YAA in play anymore, which makes sense. Why? E/D Featherfoot's Grace, Cripple Rune, Cripple Shield rolls this, which is the most common split, and has been than way for a while now. 8=D [[Special:Contributions/67.159.44.51|67.159.44.51]] 17:48, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Another guess what i belive will become meta after the update. Fishels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 13:49, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Very clearly, HC is nerfed or YAA is buffed. Izzy was pretty clear on the fact he hated professions abusing skills outside of their primaries.Lightningbolt siguɐɟɐʞıd 13:50, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Not mixing professions is what I hate Izzy most for. I thought of this already earlier :3 ---Chaos- 13:53, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Can assure you this will be very intresting. Fishels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 13:57, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

So is probably keeping the secret. Don't break my heart Fishy :'< ---Chaos- 14:06, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
TBH, I didn't attempt to bait that off you. It was pretty clear that HC would be nerfed with your posting of this build, just that the moment you said things would be interesting, it seemed like YAA was going to be buffed. Lightningbolt siguɐɟɐʞıd 14:07, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

i so love izzy for forgetting something that was written on the gamebox. what was it now..."Combine skills from two professions, link them yourself or chain them with a teammate's skills to devastate your enemies." (picture of hamstorm above it). is that what we need to use in order to avoid updates that punish the usage of 2 professions >.>. i also like build sorry for ranting Funkopotomis 01:16, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

If ou don't want secondary professions abused, don't make skills so fuckinf OP'd like HC. RickyRicksawsmfacevantof 19:17, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey at least the updates made sense this time. Nerfing stance monks, forcibly eliminating turret rangers, and in a somewhat balanced way. Not "Hey, lets put Cracked Armor on Lightning Orb so that people will spike differently!" Jebus 21:03, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
They do make sense, but builds like this one prove that for whatever nerf they come up with, another semi-abusive combination springs up in it's place. TBH, this build is worse than HC, as HC actually required att investment to work. In a similar vein, I wrote a thread on GWO about the secondary's history and future: http://guildwars.incgamers.com/showthread.php?t=486794 . Check it out, comment, w/e. Many good valid points in there. Benjammn311Signature3 02:05, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
i summarize for everyones. (secondary is good but make sure its not too good. if however you decide that finding a combination that works well is good too bad its nerf time) more or less what the dev page said from before during the water mesmer nerf but with odd suggestions like hide the numbers and such. Funkopotomis 04:32, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
I dont flag much, or play GW much anymore, but would shield bash be suitable as a variant? :3 Jebus 18:46, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Pretty soon runners' best option with be Signet of Pious Restraint if this nerf pattern continues...hahaha

izzy will nerf this

just give him some time. who thinks he will a) make YAA disable all non-warrior skills for 10s, or b) be smart and link YAA to strength? somehow i get the feeling we'll end up with option a. --Tai Sig 21:30, 9 March 2009

go discuss it on gww imo. Rawrawr Dinosaur 21:33, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Then people will start getting desperate and put mels shot/water snares on a rit, then it becomes cripshot, then it becomes <insert some rarely used snare that becomes broken the moment a flag runner uses it for some weird reason>.Lightningbolt siguɐɟɐʞıd 22:35, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
I actually considered making a melshot rit flagger. it would be very strong and brave, no? --Tai Sig 23:04, 9 March 2009
I'd think that Izzy will have to nerf it, just because it is much more abusive than HC was simply because no speccing is required. I think that Izzy should just nip the whole problem in the bud and just make secondary elites unusable in PvP, instead nerfing each progressively worse snare until Rit runners get phased out. IMS

I know a stance is a better IMS than an enchantment since it's harder to remove and doesn't need to be re-applied (hence this is being rated 4-5 whereas the Illusion of Haste version is being rated 1-2), but with a 53% uptime and only a 25% boost, is Sprint really that good? I mean, in terms of speed increase it's worse than Dash and only about equal to Illusion of Haste even with the stopping and aftercast. 82.14.87.226 22:17, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

It's the best option available for the bar and stance is really >>>>>>>>> enchant based. There are some enchant based boosts that are worthwhile such as Armor of Mist. Misery CowMisery Says Moo 22:21, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Much as I like Armour of Mist, I would have thought it's duration to recharge ratio actually made it pretty bad for running (though I guess the armour bonus is nice). Anyway, Sprint probably *is* best, just to my mind it certainly seems less than ideal. It's just a shame MR is a stance or I could see a wilderness survival version (maybe MR + Natural Stride or Storm's Embrace). 82.14.87.226 22:51, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
It's not so much the long term average that is important as the short term average. 20 seconds on Armor of Mist should be enough to pz out or get where you need to be. The time taken to run a flag isn't actually so important as it never really takes more than ~45 seconds and you have 2 minutes. Stances can allow for an ever worse long term average because you don't have to stand still for 1.75 seconds to get it off so you can pz out earlier. Misery CowMisery Says Moo 22:54, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, hence the casting on AoM isn't ideal, though it's 33% and gives an armour bonus. All I'm saying is, Sprint is only 25% anyway so it's not as great as it could be, though looking into it there aren't really that many better options. 82.14.87.226 22:58, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
See why Dash is so used even though it's less than 25% average? ;o Misery CowMisery Says Moo 23:01, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
the advantage IoH has is that u are able to remove cripple Hydra 20:41, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Yeah I do think it rather harsh that this seems to be considered great whereas the mesmer version is being trashed. I mean, I know that casting the enchantment takes time and it can be interrupted or removed, but on the other hand it gives a greater speed boost both in the short term and overall and it can remove cripple from you, which is worse than having your IMS removed. Of course, the fact that they use different elites also comes into the equation I guess, but still. 86.10.9.66 21:23, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
yes, its also the elite that matters Hydra 21:34, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
(EC)(beat me to it) I think you're forgetting that as a Rt/Me your choices for a snare are very limited. Both of the elites suggested on the other build have 20 second recharges and this has a much more spammable snare. KJ needed a new sig....sig 21:37, 17 March 2009
then again, its IoH's effect is very nice to have Hydra 21:52, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
