The build is basically a variant of the SF Commando build; recall is nice for everything up to the Greater Darknesses group; when the Earth Tormenters spawn after killing each Darkness, I find I miss the extra oomph of Intensity or Expunge Enchantments to remove Armor of Sanctity. The Build really slows down there.... --Psych au

This is very similar to SF/Commando. And also Expunge Enchants is a great skill, and I know for sure, that if you switch "By Urals" out, you will still be able to run both City and Gloom. May be a bit slower though. --DoA Master 22:33, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

After the cave

I tried this with the OoB hero with purifying veil, smooth sailing all the way, until I hit the rifts between us quest. The 6 earth tormentors from one of the waves slowly tore me apart, with armor of sanctity making it take ages for me to kill any of them. In the vid the guy uses only the martyr hero, but if he keeps spamming martyr to keep conditions off of the tank, he'll be bleeding 24/7, and ultimately die, no? Am I supposed to take both the bonders stated in the article? Or am I doing something else wrong?

Generally, the bleeding shouldn't be enough to kill him if you take Sig of Devotion, too. I should've mentioned that you need to have runes which reduce bleeding and cripple by 20%. This should make it somewhat easier to handle. If running martyr, give the hero a bleeding rune and he should be better off, too. ··· Danny Does Drugs 15:51, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, with the martyr hero you'd likely need to drop Rebirth for Signet of Devotion. Most of the time, Rebirth is going to be largely unusable anyway, depending on where you aggro the mobs, so I'm not entirely sure why it's taken. Okay, so now I managed to get past the rifts between us, but I got stuck at the deathbringer company this time. The damage alone from that mob is not enough to take any of them down, so I tried pulling in some shadow army mobs, their 100 blades quickly overwhelmed my poor little ogden though. And as I tried to pull them to other torment creatures I found out that the Company is the only mob that doesn't pull halfway across the map. Maybe the second part of the run is less straightforward than you think :p, it'd help a bunch if you could put up the 2nd half of the vid. I noticed the map with the dots getting update with recall points, but there's only the one on the start, I also recall to get into the cave for the next quest, as well as to get away from the mob outside. At the rift I also use it to get out without having to run a mile to shake off aggro. Ioroth 09:10, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
You can use one of the mobs from the rift part to take down the "hard" group instead of using the shadow army. You pull them until you're about to lose aggro. Then you grab aggro of the "hard" group and race back for aggro of the other group. Well including killing the darkness after, it takes me forever to kill the earth tormentors, and i end up taking out one darkness like every 5 minutes. if you get 30 minutes without constant sliver, please explain to me how this build does it :/--Relyk 06:10, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I think my best with this build was like 31. Depending on how gay the tormentors are being, yes it can take longer. It helps to kill ~3 of the spawns while they're still in the process of spawning, before they can cast. Obv it can take longer than 30 minutes. Btw, I've only done this like 4 times and i used OoB. Sliver Form in Gloom is hard, as is all of DoA. In fact, all of PvE is terribly difficult, and builds like 600/smite and SF/Commando certainly don't make it a joke in it's entirety. ··· Danny-sig 06:37, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

An easy way to take the rift is to sliver the Torment Claws then pull the mob away from it and have your Smiter cap it. I keep Recall on my Smiter here for a nice clean escape. Selket Shadowdancer 11:26, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Deathbringer Company

  • Tne easiest way to do this is to pull the Shadow army and sliver the warriors bright when you get to the company. If you barely pull the group then run, you will be able to take them down easily, only leaving the monk (if one) rangers, elementalists, and mesmers to help you. Recall back to Dunkoro for the Greater Darkness. KILL THE 2 DARKNESSES FIRST by pulling guys from the Rift. When you kill the Greater Darkness The Next spwn in on him. Make sure you kill the Darknesses that spawn as fast as you can, so the chest will spawn. To make it easy, be closer to the rift, and right when the last Darkness dies the chest will spawn away from any aggro, allowing you to recall back to dunkoro before dieing from the Earths. They will not go back to the chest, leaving an easy open area for everyone to collect the reward. --DoA Master 20:07, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

You have to kill all the Eart spawns from the darkness. I take 1 darkness down at a time other then the Greater's group, then i take down earths, and rinse and repeat. --DoA Master 20:27, 15 July 2009 (UTC)


Shadow of haste instead of recall?? How are you supposed to recall out of mobs you don't kill, how to take the quest in the cave etc. etc. the list goes on. This variant just plain doesn't work as far as I can tell Impulsion

Armor of Sanctity
