tested? Life Guardian 06:45, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Needs lots of clean up. Zyke-Sig 06:46, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

I've just read full usage and it looks like non-pugs build. (they would fail, I think. Especially with shadow monks.)--ValeV 12:52, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

I will post some pictures to assist with the initial aggro for Rastigan, entering the forge and the clearing the forge.

As for pugs. You know they are always going to need practice and that is why we have posted this build on wiki, hopefully they can catch on. We have been demonstrating this build to pugs and have had casual < 30 min clear success when pugs go as standard T1 and T2 (same as manlyway spike).

--Sir Freaks Alot 14:22, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

So this has been tested then? Also, I'd suggest finding a role for an 8th perma. Maybe an incoming bitch or something for griffons. Life Guardian 16:55, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
+you can upload videos of each perma, so pugs will (hopefully) watch them. Altough, if what you said is true (pugs<30min) i'll be extrordinarry (lol fail) happy. :)--ValeV 20:55, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Tested this tonight. Finished in 20 minutes due to two sins needing rezzed. But I definitely see it working in under 15 min with some practice. Pucktrapper 05:18, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

Helped Freaks put this togther, with a pug t1 t2 3 guildies total of 5 ppl did this in 34 min. with 1 death. Very doable just need to get this to the pugs

Been working on the build, is works but need more available ppl to get better test results. I do believe in <15 min for clear. --Sin In Your Face 02:35, October 30, 2009 (UTC)Sin In Your Face

Very nice build, i've been thinking for a while about a similar build, and i have a suggestion: assuming that u have to kill almost everything between rastigan and the wailing lord, a 600/smite team is much faster (and safer, important for PUGs) than 2 permas doing that? (especially because u have a 7 man team, and removing one perma for a 600/smite team isnt so hard) the 600/smite could go left at start, kill 2 groups, then (maybe) kill abyssals an rangers (idk if 600 is faster than 2 sins with those foes), then easily clear shadow groups to battlefield, wait for quest, then clear skeletons and come back to rastigan (still clearing) after quest is taken. Giorgevich 07:05, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

You're saying that 600/smite is faster than Shadow form? :D--ValeV

im saying 600/smite is faster than shadowform at killing small groups of shadow army and at killing skeletons. for a 600 takes about 15 secs for a skeletons group and 20-30 secs for a shadow army group with 1 monk. i think its faster than shadowform (which has to worry about many things and degen them) Giorgevich

But you just said you're worried about PUGs running this. So now we will talk about safety or speed?--ValeV 13:34, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

600/smite is safer than permaform for this job :P perma has to worry about traps, zealot's, 100b while killing. 600 just run in with spell breaker and tank. its vey easy. Giorgevich

I'm r12 friend of kurzick and I know that tanking for PUGs isn't that great. I'm troo.--ValeV 19:04, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

did anyone reached <15 yet with that?

17 mins for 7 sins. Still improving our technique. No, you don't have to kill everything between Rastigan and the Wailing. There is less in the way than you realize. And for the area near Rastigan: you can use some of the shadow army to kill off other shadow army that spawns for the quest. Shadow warriors make it interesting, but two sins can handle the job fairly easily. Pucktrapper 23:27, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

100b for griff quest[]

How do the 2 degeners deal with the warriors for clearing so the griffons can get through. Are they not just torn to shreads rather rapidly? --Lia Shunpo 19:40, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

  1. Shadow Refuge spam can outheal HB.
  2. HB isnt permanently up, so there will be downtime to recover.
  3. Don't ball up to HB will affect less people. + ℓγssάή [rage] 19:58, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

time your run with the 600 team, 2 sins that run mez build can do it in about 2 min. This very doable we did it with 3 guildies and 3 pugs in 27 min full run

3+3=7? =D 00:51, November 10, 2009 (UTC) The_Crippster

The A/Me with Ignorance can easily defeat the shadow army blocking the griffon path. 1 A/Me will shackle the monks, the other A/Me uses Ignorance on the warriors...

Note: use the existing shadow army to fight the griffon popup/spawn shadow army, they will kill eachother (pro tip)

--Sir Freaks Alot 19:32, November 8, 2009 (UTC)

8th Player?[]

I know it's for 7 at the moment, but at the sacrifice of drops to get that end chest faster, I'm sure an 8th can be added. At the moment I was thinking another a/ to speed up killing in the forge as it's the slowest part. 00:48, November 10, 2009 (UTC) The_Crippster

Maybe add another a/me?Or for forge add a SF ele or some damage like that? Jush 14:23, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

And i alrdy saw teams forming and they said it workd and they complete it in 15 mins or more Jush 14:24, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Cleaned up[]

Gj to whoever cleaned this up FoW 22:39, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Can just check the pages history. Im working on getting maps of each area setup, but seeing as ive never been on a run with it, im not 100% sure im doing it right. Kamer sig Kamer (Talk|Contributions) 00:51, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Equipment[]

Anyone mind if I add that zealous daggers of enchanting and/or a zealous scythe of enchanting are both highly reccomended (they help soooo much with energy management, especially with the energy intensive mesmer bars) and that green rock candies are cheap and help a ton with speed, especially in the forest and if you use daggers/scythe? 01:17, November 12, 2009 (UTC) The_Crippster

Its generally safe to assume that permas use zeal dags/scythes for energy. Kamer sig Kamer (Talk|Contributions) 02:10, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
I've been running the mez builds without the need for zealous. I use a spear with +5 energy and 20% enchant along with a slashing shield, then I switch to an inspiration staff with 15 energy and 20% enchant for damage. I do keep a zealous scythe on a hotkey, but it's rare that I find a need. Proper use of Spirit of Failure and avoiding button-mashing solve lots of headaches. Pucktrapper 23:32, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Maps[]

Someone confirm if these E1, E2, E3, RI1, RI2 are correct for me? Kamer sig Kamer (Talk|Contributions) 02:19, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

8th Spot[]

For the 8th spot when we chose a a/mo with a restore life for a high energy hard res so ressed sins can sf as soon as they are up and this worked well, when i was not ressing i escorted the forge team and used radiation field and finish him which sped up the death of the woh monks with no energy management issues at all with mindbender for quicker ressing in dangerous situations or if your more confident lod for dmg

1. Deadly Paradox

2. Shadow Form

3. Feigned Neutrality

4. Radiation Field

5. Castigation Signet

6. Finish Him

7. Restore Life

8. Mindbender or Light Of Deldrimor

Yeah I'd definitely add this to the main build (forge team) as it make a HUGE difference to the forge (and gift of gryphon's) Time. The forge team was finished in ~10 minutes even after the rez bitch had to run to forest to rez the Terra there. You dont really need mind bender, the 20% faster from cons is enough IMO, was fine with death's charge instead of feigned and LOD rezzing even with tonnes of hydras around. 02:11, November 16, 2009 (UTC) The_Crippster
Here, I'll even make the template for you.

<pvxbig> [build prof=A/Mo sha=12+1+3 heal=9 smit=9 dead=2+1 crit=2+1][Deadly Paradox][Shadow Form][Restore Life]["Finish Him!"][Castigation Signet][Light Of Deldrimor][Radiation Field][Death's Charge][/build] </pvxbig> I'd advise putting people new to FoW Sinway (But diffinetly not new to perma-ing/other SCs) as its very easy if you are experienced in managing your energy. A zelous scythe of enchanting AND zelous daggers of enchanting are both musts. 02:45, November 16, 2009 (UTC) The_Crippster

Sinway Improvements - removes E3 from the forge 360 duties, send to menzies/burning/tower (same as T1 manlyway)

L1/L2 (formerly R1/R2)[]

Afterposting the initial build. We have revised the R1/R2 builds to replace Radiation Field with Light of Deldrimor. This skill helps greatly with energy managment and with Undead in the battlefield

<pvxbig> [build prof=Assassin/Mesmer shadow=12+1+3 inspiration=12 deadly=3][Deadly Paradox][Shadow Form][Spirit Of Failure][Cry of Pain][Ether Nightmare (Luxon)][Spirit Shackles][Light of Deldrimor][Shadow Refuge][/build] </pvxbig>

D1[]

we have also added a deep wounder as an optional 8th player to assist with forge and griffons, by inflicting a deep wound then spreading with epidemic, and finally spike with Cry/LoD

<pvxbig> [build prof=Assassin/Mesmer shadow=12+1+3 inspiration=12 deadly=3][Deadly Paradox][Shadow Form][Spirit Of Failure][Finish Him][Epidemic][Cry of Pain][Light of Deldrimor][Optional][/build] </pvxbig>

--Sir Freaks Alot 02:34, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Freaks, did you try the build I posted or did you just go to this? 14:38, November 19, 2009 (UTC) The Crippster

OK, now pls tell me which one is better for PUGs: FoW Sinway or FoW manly way?--ValeV

My god, Manly Way without question. Maybe in a few months sinway... but until then, find a speedclear guild or keep being manly. 14:38, November 19, 2009 (UTC) The Crippster

With 4 Man ((EXP)I1, (EXP)R1, (PUG)T1, (PUG)T2) we are clearing FoW in 1 conset, although the griffons are delivered with no cons.

Also we have currently been clearing the forge at 9-10 min with three mesmers (no 360 from A/E). We are using 2 A/Me with LOD, and an A/Me deep wounder.

We are testing a 2 man build (A/E, A/Me) for the start (Rastigan Tower of courage) as this frees up 4 A/Me for the forge. We can clear Forge in ~8 min with 4 A/Me LOD

Has anyone ever tried 4-5 A/D as the Main Team? Seems like this would be a nice Sinway and much more pug friendly...

--Sir Freaks Alot 17:51, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

What main team? 01:25, December 1, 2009 (UTC) The Crippster

why did they put this in the trash builds?O.o84.255.207.133 21:10, December 12, 2009 (UTC)

This build article has been placed in the abandoned category because no meaningful changes have been made to it for over 2 weeks.--ValeV 21:42, December 12, 2009 (UTC)

More gold for us![]

I have no problem with them trashing it. We've modified the build enough to get it under 25 minutes consistently with a 5 man team. That means we can charge pugs for runs and bank on it. If nobody else knows the final version of the team build, then we won't have any competition. - Cheddar

We're not trashing it. It's been labeled as abandoned because the author left it in trial and then never edited it. If you don't want it trashed, put it into testing. KarateCandy!Jesus 17:47, 14 December 2009
