I know, I was on with a few guys from PvX, and these things just KEPT coming, and fucking winning, grr the only good thing that happened was the rage quit at the end of it. /FrosTalk\ 18:23, 1 July 2008 (EDT)

Ritualist...could be a lot better than the current smiter. Imo. Use weapon spells and SOH. and support heals/condition removal.--71.67.243.230 19:32, 1 July 2008 (EDT)

Lame. Effective, maybe, but lame. Must admit, this build is ideal for PUGs. 92.100.108.86 20:51, 1 July 2008 (EDT)
If you added blessed signet you could maintain SoH on the rangers AND their pets. just for luls ofc. (Kiron 23:34, 1 July 2008 (EDT))
Just use shock axe or something, will do way better the Rangers with an axe, which suck btw.--Relyk Purifying Veil SigRELYK ʞlɐʇ ʎɯ 23:56, 1 July 2008 (EDT)

This build is gfg meta Monk & Necro. I'm sure Miz called daze at some point though. Maybe list bestial mauling in place for disrupting lunge if the smiter's taking SoJ? Only way I can figure those guys managed to apply it. - PANIC! Panic sig4 sexiness! 04:19, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Why? WoD is crapped out by the double healers, knocklocks aren't that scary when you have a guy spamming RoD/PS all over your face, and MBane/monk faceoffs are standard business. Disables are much stronger in 4v4 than in 8v8 because your team has half the number of skills and KDs don't gain that much from the backline being reduced to one monk because of the reduced amount of threat any one warrior can generate vs. a monk with Guardian (fewer targets to prot, more giveaway about which target you're going after). And perma-33% IMS will wreck your shit. --71.229 06:07, 2 July 2008 (EDT) now i'm really going to bed, it's been about six days since i've gotten a full night of sleep.

Use Grasping Earth (with a cover) to counter this build pretty effectively. Gives you a window of time in which you can't be interrupted or damaged by one of the rangers and his pet, and some time to wait for your dchopped skills to recharge. Also diversion the Smiter constantly if you have it (and it doesn't get chopped); if you hit RoD he can't heal, if you hit Draw (well, on a MR smiter) they can't remove conditions. --Divisor 08:03, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Grasping would help a lot. GL being able to spam diversion against this, though. - PANIC! Panic sig4 sexiness! 08:10, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Played it and either me and my team is bad or balanced groups are indeed stronger than this. Usually the necro just removed all enchantments. The magebane pressured the smiter (so no e-management and hex/condition removal and on top of that less damage) and the KD warrior pressures the monk. With WoD spam this team will eventually break. Versus bad teams most builds should win, this is just slower...62.194.247.7 13:29, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Smiter

Take Melandru's Resilience and draw conditions. --Luuck 06:34, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

If you have the template code for that build, we can make the smiter an optional between the two. - PANIC! Panic sig4 sexiness! 06:36, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

if you lose to this

you're horrible. RaO axes are terrible compared to shock axes, they deal less damage, and cannot maintain RaO with the current att setup for more than a minute or two. This has no shutdown abilities other than a bunch of interrupts. Anti-melee WoD necros will rape your frontliners while the magebane ranger shuts down your smiter, and the hammer warrior makes your monk eat ass do to the lack of blocking stances. This is a horrible build that will get rolled by anyone competent. The fact that frosty thinks it's good is enough to trash it, considering the slew of terrible builds he's posted in recent weeks.--GoldenGoldenstarStar 10:02, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Patient doesn't outheal it and energy is fine with a zealous. I'm not saying the build is great, but your argument isn't either. –Ichigo724Ichigo-signature 10:03, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

the necessity of using a zealous means you lose your vampiric option which make the axe rangers even more inferior to a standard shock axe. Throwing a crapload of interrupts together with an IAM/IMS does not a good build make.--GoldenGoldenstarStar 10:07, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
sBash on the monk and draw/MR on the healer probably works better. –Ichigo724Ichigo-signature 10:10, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
Goldenstar, how about you go to TA and get rolled by this, Me, Panic, Godliest (and someone else I forgot sowi :< ) thought it was lame, but it worked, about 3 out of 4 teams we came up against ran this too. And also "The fact that frosty thinks it's good is enough to trash it, considering the slew of terrible builds he's posted in recent weeks." ups, that's not nice, look at the vote's its not like i'm the only person who agree's it is good. /FrosTalk\ 10:22, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
First of, just because everybody uses this, doesn't mean it's super good or anything, it's jsut that bad people get rolled by this, so they run this, because it rolled them. ɟoʇuɐʌʎʞɔıɹPanic srsbsns 10:26, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
This is going to be a big loop from the beggining again, if you want to see what the rest of the page will be like, re-read from the top. /FrosTalk\ 10:30, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
Frosty, just because you got rolled by this doesn't mean it's good. I might be theorycrafting a bit, but it's shitters who try and make this work. The reason it kills is because most RA/TA monks suck massive ass and don't know how to manage energy. This build is absolutely fucked by any type of anti-melee. All you have to do to beat it is rend the frontliners then have your magebane camp the bonder so he can't get SoH's back off. Have you're necro spam anti-melee on the rangers and WoD their primary healer, and watch as your hammer warrior butt fucks the enemy monk because he's not running blocking stances. This build looks ridiculously easy to beat as long as you're not horrible at the game.--GoldenGoldenstarStar 13:43, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
They have two copies of hex removal and a buttload of interrupts. Good luck to your necromancer. Your frontline just needs to crack their backline before your monk runs out of energy. It's Covenantway with what I think is probably a better frontline. It's not ZOMGUNBEATABLE, but it's not bad Goldenstar AND it seems to be pretty fucking meta. - Misery Is HawtFile:Grumpy bear.JPG 14:17, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Speed

This doesn't kill very fast does it. I mean, I see how you could simply out pressure someone with this, but there's no...like way to open a hole in blocks. It's hard to explain, but I guess I mean shit like shatters, rend, anti-block and the like. You just have to outlast them with this? Also, 2 warriors and a good magebane will rape the backline on this User:ISnowBunnyISnow Bunny 12:39, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

although thsi build is gim a key, it works well enough to beat "most teams", of course gladr3+ will roll you,i agree with bunny on the blocking part, an idea i had was maybe drop castigation sig on the smiter for rigor mortis, or barbs if blocking isnt a problem for most of u, and change the elite to defenders zeal?Snipey lizard 12:59, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Yes, it is slow as crap. Rolled is the wrong word, it took about 6-8 minutes per match we lost to them as I sat there going zomg frontline... kill something... zomg frontline... kill something, ups, I'm out of energy and they finally got a 20 second disable on WoH, we lose. Oh and twice I was bad and got body blocked, that made me lose slightly faster. It's covenantway but I say those RaO axes are more pressure than SA sins. - Misery Is HawtFile:Grumpy bear.JPG 13:28, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
If this is covenantway...where is HC? ɟoʇuɐʌʎʞɔıɹPanic srsbsns 13:30, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Srsly though, that monk is still sucking ass. Make it ZB with Discplined and Sbash or something. ɟoʇuɐʌʎʞɔıɹPanic srsbsns 13:32, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

HC is bad in Covenantway too these days. Normal monk is better. I dunno what monk people are running as I've only monked against this and didn't really have time to barwatch the monks. - Misery Is HawtFile:Grumpy bear.JPG 14:18, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
I can definetly recall it being a WoH shadow monk, the smiter was either a Melandru's resilience smiter or a SoJ smiter. /FrosTalk\ 14:20, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
That one group we ran into used Mo/A so he could SS to the rangers and help body block while crippling the warrior on him. - PANIC! Panic sig4 sexiness! 14:22, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Tbh

Some of you guys REALLY need to go TA and see this kill you, don't say it gets owned by balanced, because it doesn't, it wins, A lot, only thing that makes you loose is if the people running it are bad. srsly. /FrosTalk\ 16:36, 3 July 2008 (EDT)

^ Godbox GodlyCompanion-cube 16:42, 3 July 2008 (EDT)
No, you can beat it if you're above average TA. But it is stupidly lame. The preceding awesome-sauce comment was added by Rawr. 16:43, 3 July 2008 (EDT)
If you're above average using this build you can rape though. Going against this is still tough, unless you have a SoM mes. Mightymousemoush 17:10, 4 July 2008 (EDT)
