This build was terrible, so i added some new skills so u can take no damage at all. and u even move faster too! and i saw these skills on movement catergory! I ran droks with this and i didnt die once! this build i rate a 10/10!! The preceding unsigned comment was added by User: (contribs) .

The Bold Forge Runner isn't dead. It is easy to bring this build back into business, by just modifying one skill (Signet of Stamina instead of Purge), rewrite some tactical parts of the guide, that I created quite some time ago on Wiki, and add some equipment must-haves for this run to be successful. Anyone for it? ~ Luobailong (Contact · Contributions) 21:35, 19 May 2007 (CEST)

Revised the build for reliable use (after the Nightfall release which changed enemy behavior, and spawns). I added several new hints, and corrected the article here and there. ~ Luobailong (Contact · Contributions) 11:04, 22 May 2007 (CEST)

Anyone noticed that the 'Charge' skill directs to the main page of GuildWiki if you click it? Just a thought. Moochy 00:15, 9 June 2007 (CEST)

Err, since the armor update, having Knights boots no longer gives the -3 to the full body, just the boots. I think the armor needs to be updated. (talk···contributions) 00:56, 9 June 2007 (CEST)

Remove Hex?

When did this build get Remove Hex added to it? Hasn't it always been Smite Hex in that slot? The 2 second cast time on Remove Hex is horrible for a runner. ImperialMike 06:26, 12 August 2007 (CEST)

Well, I take it back. It appears Remove Hex has indeed been buffed to a 1 second cast time... same as Smite Hex, so with its shorter recharge time, it is now better. ImperialMike 06:30, 12 August 2007 (CEST)

Unstoppable Forge Runner Variant

What advantages does this variant bring us?! Remove Hex has better recharge times, and I am Unstoppable is not long enough IMO, as you have to run through the masses of Golems too! Not only the worm ... — Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 22:34, 24 September 2007 (CEST)

This build is dead. Done. Over with. Useless. Better builds out there. Should we archive??Klomi 23:55, 25 December 2007 (EST)

This build should not be archived. It is one of the only builds available that DOES NOT use Dervish skills. For people who do not own Nightfall, this is still a viable running build. Also, if anyone can point me too other Droks running builds that DO NOT use Dervish skills, I'd like those added as links to this build. ImperialMike 14:06, 3 January 2008 (EST)

The Unstoppable Bold Forge Runner.

Hey all, apologies in advance, I've not written a build up or made any comments before so if this was done all wrong then let me know & I'll make sure I change it to make it right.

Right, I don't think the Bold Forge Runner should be archived, I'm still using it with a high success rate with minor changes ;

<pvxbig> [build prof=warri/monk tactic=12+1+1 streng=12+1][Enraging Charge]["I Am Unstoppable!"]["Charge!"][Balanced Stance][Remove Hex][Endure Pain][Signet Of Stamina][Holy Veil][/build] </pvxbig>

I use the usual equipment of +30hp +5 Nrg Weap & +30hp -5(20%) Shield, full Knights Insig's except for 2 Helms, 1) +1 Tactics, +1 Tactics & -20% Hex & 2) +1 Strength, +2 Strength & -20% Hex.

I just have the Strength Helm on & cast Sig of Stam first, then switch to my Tactics Helm. I cast Veil before running into Hex casters, use Remove Hex to remove the first hex then cancel Veil if I get hexed again. Problem is this can fail if there are too many Imp or Golem groups packed tight.

Giants are the easiest part of the run using Enraging Charge with "I Am Unstoppable!" then switching to Balanced Stance with "Charge!". I'll usually take between 0 - 7 damage per rock so rarely have to stop to allow regen or stop to recast a long list of Enchants.

Endure Pain is just in there for the usual health boost just incase your HP drops too low in which case, once through, you have to wait for regen due to the complete lack of healing. I'm sure it could be switched out for Healing Sig or maybe even another Anti-Hex.

Again sorry if I've gone about this the wrong way, but the Warrior still needs a Droks running build! ^.^ Raven 13:41, 26 December 2007 (EST)Raven_Nytez

Raven, I tried the Unstoppable version and it works great. The only difference is I used "Feel No Pain" instead of Endure Pain. Droks runs are so easy now. ImperialMike 04:49, 28 December 2007 (EST)
Soldier's Speed may be a good replacement for Enraging Charge also, as it will last about the same length as the Shout.
ooOOoo, I tried Soldiers Speed but I'm kinda lacking in Norn rep so my "I Am Unstoppable!" only lasts around 15 seconds & "Feel No Pain!" sounds good for the cast time. I'll have to test against a Derv running build for time. I tried the Derv but got so bored of taking time out to cast all enchants to make me God then run for 10 secs, then recast etc etcRaven 08:30, 28 December 2007 (EST)
I'm very impressed with the "I am Unstoppable" version. I have continued testing it with Feel No Pain and Soldier's Speed. Unlike the Dervish, it doesn't have a need to pause during the run, which I really like. Also, adding "I Am Unstoppable" and Soldier's Defense makes this build excellent from running from Ascalon City all the way through the Sanctum Cay Mission and though the Desert. This is not just a Droks running build anymore... it's an all purpose running build. ImperialMike 14:42, 30 December 2007 (EST)
I Am Unstoppable! Soldier's Speed Charge! Balanced Stance Signet of Stamina Soldier's Defense Holy Veil Feel No Pain

Messing with the build - Disagreements with changes

I have some disagreements with changes that have been made to this build over the last few months.

I do not agree that "a full Survivor's Insignia set" is best. I believe that one Lieutenant's Insignia should be used, and I believe that Radiant Insignia is just as viable as Survivor's.

I do not agree that runes of Vitae are necessarily better than a Strength and a Tactics rune.

I do not agree with the addition of Enraging Charge AND Sprint when the build already has Charge! Three running buffs is a waste of a slot. I understand that the purpose for the 3rd buff is so that Charge! can be saved for when it's needed with Balanced Stance, but a good runner should be able to manage this without the need for a third running buff.

I do not agree that the choices for the shield needs to be restricted to a +30 hp shield. A +45 in Stance shield works just as well.

This build is a very historical build in that it was one of the first running builds for the Droknar's Forge run. The original build used only Prophecies skills.

Endure Pain Sprint Charge! Balanced Stance Healing Signet Purge Conditions Smite Hex Holy Veil

As Factions and Nightfall were introduced, as well as buffs made to original Prophecies skills, the build changed for efficiency:

Endure Pain Enraging Charge Charge! Balanced Stance Signet of Stamina Mending Touch Remove Hex Holy Veil

Later, as runners became more proficient at the run, the need for Mending Touch to remove Crippled was lessened as traps were avoidable. Also, some runners become proficient enough not to need Remove Hex. Holy Veil alone was sufficient. With the introduction of Eye of the North, new skills are now getting introduced to the build. Norn skills in particular have been added recently, including Feel No Pain and I am Unstoppable!. These two skills completely eliminate the need for a condition removal skill like Mending Touch. I am Unstoppable! prevents Crippled as well as provides an armor buff. Feel No Pain is a self-heal that can negate degenration conditions like poison or bleeding.

I Am Unstoppable! Enraging Charge Charge! Balanced Stance Signet of Stamina Endure Pain Holy Veil Feel No Pain

It's to the point now where several viable builds exist.

I Am Unstoppable! Soldier's Speed Charge! Balanced Stance Signet of Stamina Dwarven Stability Holy Veil Feel No Pain

Soldier's Speed is a longer lasting running stance while a shout is active. With a high Norn rank, I Am Unstoppable! will last 20 seconds, and Soldier's Speed can be used for 19 seconds. Dwarven Stability will cause stances to last significantly longer, which is useful for Balanced Stance. It can also act as a cover enchant for Holy Veil so that Holy Veil is not shattered when running past the Avicara in Lornar's Pass. For some, running while drunk becomes viable with buffs to both Feel No Pain and Dwarven Stability. (Post processing effects should be turned off if running drunk.) With all that said, the build that achieves the most consistency with success is usually prefered. In my opinion, something like this:

I Am Unstoppable! Soldier's Speed Charge! Balanced Stance Signet of Stamina Optional Holy Veil Feel No Pain

The optional slot can be used for Remove Hex, Endure Pain, Dwarven Stability, Enraging Charge, or any other prefered skill. Also, if Holy Veil is replaced, other secondary professions can be introduced. However, when we introduce other secondary professions, then this build becomes a totally different build altogther, like the common running skills from a Dervish which works for nearly any primary profession.

Therefore, I believe that the value of this build is the ability for someone who does not own every Guild Wars campaign to perform a Droknar's Forge run. This build should include a Prophecies only build, a build with Prophecies and Nightfall only, a build with Prophecies and GWEN only. Prophecies only:

Endure Pain Sprint Charge! Balanced Stance Healing Signet Purge Conditions Remove Hex Holy Veil

Prophecies and Nightfall only:

Endure Pain Enraging Charge Charge! Balanced Stance Signet of Stamina Mending Touch Remove Hex Holy Veil

Prophecies and GWEN only:

I Am Unstoppable! Soldier's Speed Charge! Balanced Stance Endure Pain Cure Hex Holy Veil Feel No Pain

Discussion welcome! ImperialMike 13:36, 3 January 2008 (EST)

Part of me thinks that all these builds should be put up given that the Dervish seems to have a build for each day of the week! But I think that you've come up with some good idea's & that it should be put up officially, I'd vote for it. I noticed that somebody's put up an Unstoppable Droks build for the W/Mo, but on first glance they havn't covered the lack of KD that the origional build suffered, because, let's face it hexe's aren't the number one priority anymore given that Holy Veil & some form of Hex Removal are really all you need.
I don't think a build page is needed for each of these builds. Instead, they should be added as variations to this build. The main thing is that this build from what I can tell is the only Non-Dervish build that runs Droks. With respect to the Unstoppable build above, the Optional slot is supposed to have "I Am Unstoppable", which is the KD protection. ImperialMike 13:46, 4 January 2008 (EST)
Other than that, Kudos for taking the time to think up all the different chapter possibilities!Raven 16:21, 3 January 2008 (EST)

3 Running Skills...

Is there really a reason to use three skills for running? Rah 15:47, 28 January 2008 (EST)

Not really you can easily just use Enraging Charge and Charge! to keep a constant speed boost...putting in heal sig works better for me.

Feel No Pain > Endure Pain, move headgear to strength since 14 doesn't hit 13 sec charge breakpoint. ---Chaos- TheDentist 15:46, 9 January 2009 (EST)

Actually, I /support archiving, really. This has become inferior to other choices, introduction of the D/A's and Permasins, Holy Veil kills energy and there are several situations where you can't use it because it gets stripped (Spots of Ice Golems + Grawl, Ice Imps + Avicara) etc, which are way too common for being something to blindly ignore. But this is epic, don't want to :< ---Chaos- TheDentist 16:23, 9 January 2009 (EST)
Holy veil does not kill energy. Only cast when running in and remove as soon as u get hexed.--Lynx 20:57, 9 January 2009 (EST)
this build is fucking classy, it still works, pretty fast too, don't archive. --Tai Sig 20:58, 9 January 2009

General Running Build

This is the build i run just about everywhere and can do droks run pretty much 100% of time. Provides more survivability for a pretty much non-stop run. <pvxbig> [build prof=warri/monk Strength=12+3+1 tactics=8+1 healingprayers=10][Signet of Stamina][Holy Veil][Cure Hex][Healing Hands][Healing Signet]["I am Unstoppable"][Sprint][Endure Pain][/build] </pvxbig> Has 1 sec down time on sprint which is really no biggy. Just don't use hh when running through grawl. Use sentinel's insigs with +10 vs cold dmg shield and spear of warding.--Lynx 20:55, 9 January 2009 (EST)

looks slow tbh. ---Chaos- TheDentist 09:32, 10 January 2009 (EST)

I raced against 5 D/A through Lornar's pass with this build. 3 of them died. Only one of them beat me. I was about 1 minute behind him. Heal sig isn't really necessary and is rarely used.--Lynx 12:20, 21 January 2009 (EST)

oh btw. 2 guys alive. the other one wins you, and you live because you're a mcslow HH tank. ---Chaos- TheDentist 10:18, 23 January 2009 (EST)
K well first off hh and healing sig are virtually never used. They are there for the "just in case" factor so that u can complete 99% of the time. With this build u VERY rarely stop running. The only reason I was 1 minute behind the other D/A was because he was setting off all of the muddy terrain spirits (which is also the reason that the rest of the D/As died). That and I never claimed this could keep up with a D/A. It could keep up with the mainbarred build however and provides more survivability as well.--Lynx 23:22, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
Just use the damn W/Me and you'll only stop for removing occasional hexes that get through your hexbreak wall. Healing solves itself. --Chaos sig 3 09:49, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

u guys are so stupid it is not out of date and it is perfect how it is u guys dont run droks i can tell and the new w/d sucks i want to see ur 10/10 build it prob sucks to btw remove hex has always been 1sec
