A build for farming gw:Sickened Guards in Minister Cho's Estate in HM for some interesting oldschool goldies (katanas, shinobis, broad swords...).

Attributes and Skills

<pvxbig> [build prof=W/N name="W/N Cho's Gladiator" swo=12 tac=12+1+3][Dwarven Stability][Gladiator's Defense][optional][Riposte][Bonetti's Defense][optional][optional][Necrotic Traversal][/build]

  • Optional Optional 1 should be:
  • Deadly Riposte [[Deadly Riposte@16]For more damage to a single enemy, plus bleeding.
  • "By Ural's Hammer!" [["By Ural's Hammer!"] To increase Gladiator defense's damage and kill everyone faster.
  • Optional Optional 2 & 3 should provide protection or healing, i.e:
  • "Watch Yourself!" [["Watch Yourself!"@16]For higher armor when unprotected.
  • Feel No Pain [[Feel No Pain] For constant health regeneration, non interruptible by [[Shove]s.
  • Healing Signet [[Healing Signet@16]For a nice amount of healing.
  • Lion's Comfort [[Lion's Comfort@16]For a lesser healing with a faster casting than Signet of healing. Drop some points from Swordmanship into Strength.

</pvxbig>

Equipment

  • Armor
  • Knight's insignias in all pieces of an 80AR armor.
  • Highest Vigor rune affordable.
  • Exceptional Tactics rune in a +1tactics helm.
  • Exceptional Absorption rune.
  • Vitae runes in the remaining 2 pieces.
  • Weapons
  • Preferably a +5 energy sword with an "of Fortitude" or "of Shelter" pommel and a zealous sword hilt.
  • Preferably a 16AR shield with a "of Fortitude" handle and a "Run for your life" inscription.

Usage

  • Use always Dwarven Stability followed by Gladiator's Defense when aggroing a group.
  • If you brought "By Ural's Hammer!" use it immediately after Gladiator's Defense.
  • Attack enemies to recover energy and build up adrenaline. Spam your riposte(s) as much as you can.
  • Case some enemies survive (they should be dead before Gladiator Defense ends) use Bonetti's Defense or "Watch Yourself" and finish them off with riposte(s).
  • Always use Healing Signet under Gladiator's Defense or between battles. Time it so it doesn't get interrupter by a Shove case you use it while battling.
  • Aggro the first two groups fast (one at a time) before they see Togo so they don't attack him.
  • Don't get near the point Togo marks on the compass so he doesn't follow you through the rest of the farm.
  • Use Necrotic Traversal to get past the following closed doors.
  • Try not to aggro 2 groups at a time, as melee enemies flee when there are more than 3 of them hitting you at the same time.

Counters

  • Letting the first 2 groups see and attack Togo.
  • Not attacking the guards with the sword will most likely lead to running out of energy and adrenaline.

Notes

  • You can kill the animals in the zoo too, though they do drop nothing but warrior tomes. It's better to restart the farm when reaching the zoo.
  • Bring lockpicks, as chests are the more likely source of Shinobi blades.
