Build:E/any Searing Flames Elementalist

This PvP build is used to cause high damage, semi-spammable AoE pressure. It can be adapted for PvE purposes.

Equipment

• A full set of + Health Armor.
• A +5 Energy/30 Hp Weapon with an offhand of choice.
• A 15/-1 Energy Set.
• A Staff of Enchanting is optional.
• Korshek's Scepter and Lian's Lantern work great.

Usage

• Keep Fire Attunement up at all times.
• Find a mob of players or NPCs and cast Searing Flames, Glowing Gaze, and Liquid Flame.
• Use Glyph of Lesser Energy early and often to assist your energy.
• Cast Meteor Shower on a bunched up group of players/NPCs.
• Glyph of Elemental Power is a long lasting powerful buff for your spells.
• Resurrection Signet for fallen allies.

Counters

• Enchantment removal.
• Anti-spam skills such as Backfire, Spiteful Spirit, and Diversion.
• Frigid Armor and Avatar of Melandru prevent burning, however Frigid Armor is an uncommon skill, and Avatar of Melandru is a high energy cost skill.
• Signet of Humility.
• Mantra of Flame.
• Protection Prayers (Protective Spirit in particular).
• This build is less useful against split or spread teams.

Variants

• Replace Resurrection Signet with Flame Djinn's Haste for Alliance Battles or Competitive Missions.
• Replace Liquid Flame with Meteor for knockdowns.
• Serpent's Quickness can be used to decrease recharge times.
• Take Aura of Restoration as a cover enchantment as well as a self heal.
• Replace Resurrection Signet with Resurrection Chant and combine with Glyph of Sacrifice for an instant, reusable resurrect.
• Adding in Mark of Rodgort to keep constant burn on all enemies.
• Meteor Shower has a high recharge time, any of these variants can replace it and glyph of sacrifice in faster-paced PvE.
• Meteor Shower is generally a bad choice in PvP, where players may just run out of it - At VoD however, it is excellent for taking out the NPCs.
• Use Glowing Signet (Paragon) for extra energy gain in faster paced PvP battles
• Take a Mesmer secondary and replace Liquid Flame, Glyph of Elemental Power, and Meteor Shower with Drain Enchantment, Leech Signet, and Power Drain. With the hero's quick AI, they are able to interrupt very easily, providing good energy management to keep spamming Searing Flames.
• Replace meteor shower, GoLE, or GoEM for Incendiary Bonds and Smoldering Embers to allow spike capabilities. (incendiary-smoldering-sf-gg-sf).
• In RA or PvE, replace GoLE, GoEM, or Meteor Shower for Aura of Restoration or Glyph of Restoration for some self-healing.
• In RA, replace Meteor Shower for Aura of Restoration and replace Glyph of Elemental Power with Flame Djinn's Haste.
• In PvE, replace Resurrection Signet with Sunspear Rebirth Signet for a better rez. You can also take a monk secondary and use Rebirth, but make sure not to use it in battle.
• If you don't like Elementalist, you can try with a Mesmer. Just remplace Glyph of Sacrifice by a energy spell and put 12 points in Fast Casting. It's fun...
