This build is used to cause high damage, semi-spammable AoE pressure.

Equipment

• A full set of + Health Armor.
• A +5 Energy/30 Hp Weapon with an offhand of choice.
• A 15/-1 Energy Set.
• A Staff of Enchanting is optional.
• Korshek's Scepter and Lian's Lantern work great.

Usage

• Keep Fire Attunement up at all times.
• Find a mob of players or NPCs and cast Searing Flames, Glowing Gaze, and Liquid Flame.
• Use Glyph of Lesser Energy early and often to assist your energy.
• Cast Meteor Shower on a bunched up group of players/NPCs.
• Resurrection Signet for fallen allies.

Counters

• Foes immune to burning:
  • Destroyers
  • Foes under effects of the following skills:
    • Frigid Armor (uncommon)
    • Avatar of Melandru
• Enchantment removal.
• Anti-spam skills such as Backfire, Spiteful Spirit, and Diversion.
• Signet of Humility.
• Mantra of Flame.
• Protection Prayers (Protective Spirit in particular).
• This build is less useful against split or spread teams.
• Interrupts on key skills particularly Meteor Shower.

Variants

• Replace Resurrection Signet with Flame Djinn's Haste for Alliance Battles or Competitive Missions.
• Replace Liquid Flame with Meteor for knockdowns. Be aware that Meteor has a longer cast time than Liquid Flame, which can significantly decrease your damage abilities and allow opponents to interrupt you.
• Replace Resurrection Signet with Resurrection Chant and combine with Glyph of Sacrifice for an instant, reusable resurrect.
• Adding in Mark of Rodgort to keep constant burn on all enemies.
• Replace Meteor Shower and Glyph of Sacrifice for a faster-paced PvE.
• Meteor Shower is generally a bad choice in PvP, where players may just run out of it. It may be helpful in PvP to replace it with Flame Djinn's Haste so you can make quick getaways when a melee class comes after you.
• For heroes, take a Mesmer secondary and replace Liquid Flame, Glyph of Elemental Power, and Meteor Shower with Drain Enchantment, Leech Signet, and Power Drain. With the hero's quick AI, they are able to interrupt very easily, providing good energy management to keep spamming Searing Flames.
• In PvE, replace Resurrection Signet for a hard res or Sunspear Rebirth Signet.
• In AB, take steam to ward off attackers.
• Replace Glyph of Lesser Energy with Aura of Restoration or Glyph of Restoration if you have a harder time staying alive, but are able to manage your energy without it.
• It is possible to use Signet of Corruption for additional energy management.
• Ebon Battle Standard of Honor, Courage, or Wisdom provide nice party buffing
• Air of Superiority to recharge skills and general self buffs
