BASIC TEMPLATE

Usage

This is the basic format. How you choose to heal yourself/reduce damage/remove conditions/remove hexes is up to you, and depends on where you are running. The main principle is to keep Escape up at all times with Dwarven Stability, and IAU! for anti-KD.

ELEMENTALIST VARIANT

  • Don't Trip! -To prevent knockdowns in KD infested areas, or when activating important skills such as Stoneflesh Aura.
  • Any block stance -If you happen to be trying to run through an area with enchantment or stance removal.
  • Storm Chaser -If you need energy and are at a low risk of damage.

Equipment

  • Earthbound armor, +50 vigor, attunement runes, rune of recovery or such depending on where you are running.
  • Any earth weapon set works with a 20% enchantment mod.

Usage

Maintain the first three skills at all times. Precast Stoneflesh Aura and Troll Unguent when approaching a dangerous area. KD prevention, healing and antidote signet when needed. Cast a KD prevention skill before Stoneflesh Aura if you are in an area with knockdowns. Keep moving! Stopping in a group of enemies to try and heal is a great way to die quickly. Try to break agro instead. Avoiding running into enemies in the first place helps, but when going between two patrols, it's better to just run through one of them then try and squeeze through both.

Counters

Extreme degen, hexes, movement speed reduction such as Muddy Terrain or Grasping Earth, caster spikes, interupts. Know where you are running.

MONK VARIANT

  • Don't Trip! -To prevent knockdowns in KD infested areas, or when activating important skills such as Stoneflesh Aura.
  • Any block stance -If you happen to be trying to run through an area with enchantment or stance removal.
  • Purifying Veil -If you want to replace Holy Veil, this is superb for areas that degen with conditions or cripple.
  • Vigorous Spirit -Great cover enchantment that doesn't need to be reapplied often due to its 30 sec length.
  • Remove Hex -Either yet another hex removal or substitute Reverse Hex. Costs less energy but takes a full second to cast.

Equipment

  • Sentry's armor, +50 vigor, attunement runes, rune of recovery or such depending on where you are running.
  • Any protection weapon set with a 20% enchantment mod.

Usage

Keep up Escape. Pre-apply holy veil when going into a group with mesmers/necros. Heal, mend as needed.

Counters

Enchant removal, interupts.

ASSASSIN VARIANT

  • Shadow Prison -An extra shadow step for speed and maneuverability.
  • Shadow's Sanctuary -For regen and armor, if you're rank is up.
  • Don't Trip! -To prevent knockdowns in KD infested areas, or when activating important skills such as Stoneflesh Aura.
  • Any block stance -If you happen to be trying to run through an area with enchantment or stance removal.
  • Storm Chaser -If you need energy and are at a low risk of damage.

Equipment

  • Sentry's armor, +50 vigor, attunement runes, rune of recovery or such depending on where you are running.
  • Sword of enchanting with energy +5 and a Shield with +45 Health while in stance, damage -2 while in stance.

Usage

Keep up Escape, and use dash when the block isn't needed too badly or to break agro. FN when dying, and Heart of Shadow is very nice to have when enemies box you in.

Counters

Hexes. This variant is fun and faster than any of the others, but does nothing against hexes.
