Notes[]

  • When not using Essence, maintain Protective Bond primarily on the frontliners. You can easily keep everyone else alive by using your other protection spells and Infuse. If you maintain too many bonds against a lot of foes you will find yourself out of energy very fast.
    • It is important to properly time the use of Ether Renewal as you engage a mob. This way you have 25 seconds to kill that mob and 5 seconds before engaging the next.
  • When using Essence, you can maintain Protective Bond on all your allies as long as you spam the rest of your spells.
    • Have each ER bond 4 allies each, or have both bond the entire party.
    • Essence is only needed in difficult areas of the game where consets are typically used anyway.
  • At 13 Protection, Protective Bond only drains 3 energy per damage packet. Achieve this by using either a Grail, Candy Corn or Golden Egg. The Secondary ER does not benefit unless you bond all eight members.

Counters[]

  • Enchantment removal
  • General anti-caster
  • Interrupts
  • Keep in mind that these weaknesses can be circumvented with proper knowledge of the area and experience.
