The Earthshaker uses Earth Shaker and other hammer attacks for massive disruption and powerful spike damage.
Attributes and Skills
<pvxbig> [build prof=Warrior/any Hammer=12+1+1 Strength=12+1][Earth Shaker][Crushing Blow][Mighty Blow] [Bull's Strike][Flail][Rush][Enraging Charge][Resurrection Signet][/build] </pvxbig>
Equipment
- Armor
- Survivor, Sentinel's or Radiant armor with Stonefist/skin gauntlets.
- A Superior Vigor rune, a minor Hammer Mastery rune, a minor Strength rune, a rune of Clarity, and a rune of Restoration.
- Weapons
- Sundering, Vampiric, and Elemental hammers of Fortitude; with a wand and shield, spear and shield, or bow to aggro NPCs and build adrenaline.
Usage
- Use Enraging Charge to build adrenaline.
- Use Earth Shaker as a powerful AoE knockdown.
- Use Bull's Strike opportunistically to knock down kiting targets.
- Use Flail and Crushing Blow on any knocked down target. Be wary of using Flail on unsnared targets.
- On spikes, use Earth Shaker, activate Flail, followed by Crushing Blow and Mighty Blow.
Counters
- Standard anti-melee counters (snaring, kiting, blinding, hexing, etc).
- Anti-KD skills (Balanced Stance, "Brace Yourself!", Ward of Stability, etc).
Variants
- Shock can replace either Mighty Blow or Bull's Strike. If using Shock, it can be useful to take at least some pieces of Radiant armor to deal with Exhaustion, particularly when combined with DP.
- Swap Mighty Blow for Protector's Strike for a sharper spike, for Hammer Bash for more knockdowns, or for Yeti Smash for some AoE.
- Frenzy can replace Flail as your IAS, although this can cause energy management issues.
- A utility skill from your secondary profession can replace Enraging Charge.
- In GvG, the Res Sig is sometimes replaced with Death Pact Signet as a back-up hard res for the team.
