:this build and the discussion page need a bit of a clean up :P. i suggest also that you take shadow form instead of spell breaker and get rid of 1 of the bonds on the 600. giving you 1 free skill slot to i dont know remove that 1 of the bonds the smite is having trouble with...althuogh hw not a bond anymore..--[[Special:Contributions/67.10.187.229|67.10.187.229]] 12:42, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

Revision as of 12:42, 22 April 2010

As of now the build is working great. I hold no guarantee that it'll work for you if any conflicting updates come. I have stopped playing so this build won't be updated by it's author. Hiphopopotamus

Your smiter has 5 bonds. LifeWikiLOD7 16:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
So? One of them is essense bond :) Seems fine to me --Sam6555 16:18, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Youre an idiot. The smiter will lose one immediately. LifeWikiLOD7 16:26, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Read the entire build notes before you comment. Succor has been mentioned as a method of maintaining 5 bonds on the smiter. Hiphopopotamus

Ohhh dear yes :P Sorry Life I failed for a sec. >.> Holy Wrath + 5 bonds = X.X Build fails --Sam6555 16:59, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Np Sam. Why does the smiter need the energy in the first place? LifeWikiLOD7 17:48, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

The smiter needs succor to maintain the 5 enchantments. And since this build requires you to die at least 4 times it's better to let the Ranger Hero use rebirth as this limits the downtime while The Smiter gains energy. So as I didn't need a rebirth on my Smiter I used an extra enchantment and let the 1 pip heal from succor help combat BiP. You must understand how it works now. This build has been highly optimized to allow for much better efficiency it may look "mad" but it works. Hiphopopotamus

Why do you need ebond on the smiter? O.o so you're losing 9 energy every time the monk gets hit instead of 10?--Goldenstar 23:37, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

^What I was asking. LifeWikiLOD7 01:34, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
tested, e-bond lets the hero still use a 1 energy skill such as BiP or offering of blood 98.134.9.109 04:04, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
also tested (but should've been obvious) that holy wrath(energy and damage) and retribution only trigger on an attack not spells. 98.134.9.109 04:12, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, interesting. Ebond must take effect after holy wrath, leaving you at 1 energy all the time. Isn't blessed sig easier though and saves skill slots? LifeWikiLOD7 04:15, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
ignore the anon he was testing on a caster mob without SB...

Isn't this a team build? Even if it does only need one more human, other builds with only henchies/heroes are in team ~ JujipooJujinicontalk 03:12, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

You cast Essence Bond on the Monk Tank not the smiter all enchantments go on the Monk Tank except Succor which goes on the smiter so he can maintain his 5 enchantments on the Monk Tank. Hiphopopotamus

I think you're confusing Essence Bond with Balthazar's Spirit. Essence bond gives energy to the maintainer, while balth's gives energy to the maintainee. LifeWikiLOD7 03:05, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

My bad the builds were made up from my vague memory. I did find it weird I could hold PI on the same bar as SoA for this dungeon. I know I used to have to sacrifice SoA for a reason since unless you rely on your leeches for PI the Ettin do take a ages to die. So basically you either go for PI and sacrifice SoA or vice versa. I would not suggest giving up death charge since the Incubus on Level 1 can kill you before you reach them and they have KD so unstoppable is pretty important too. Hiphopopotamus

So does the way of killing incubi work?(pr0adam)Healers Boon adam 00:33, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes. -- lyssan 14:04, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

i use a variance with <pvxbig>[build prof=/][death nova][/build]</pvxbig> to make damage to incubi

Smiter Hero BiP for Blood Ritual

I've tried both and it seems faster to have the smiter carry BiP and Rebirth vs. BR and UA. Reason? UA doesn't help other than the reviving factor AND BiP can be carefully cast on the monk tank for extra energy when going against a lone foe.

If you time it well, you can probably another damaging skill instead of IAU but this would mean DC to the incubi

UA works better bc it works in earshot, you can substitute Death's Charge for Pain Inverter leaving SoA (it makes the end way easier)

Anyone can run me this? IGN: Monistic Valev.--ValeV 00:29, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Builds don't work

Tried running a friend through this last night. I was the 600, he was the ranger and Old Oggy was the smiter. There wasn't enough damage to kill the first inscribed at the end and he doesn't pull back far enough to the poison traps so we had to leave..... --Sam6555 08:01, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Could get one of the people you're running to bring Primal Echoes perhaps. --Alex ! 13:25, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

the 600 can bring pain inverser instead of death's charge (or shield of absorbtion). It makes the run to incubus a little bit harder but its possible. btw i saw that it was harder to kill the boss and i died many times and it took long so i make my ranger take QZ
