The Admin noticeboard

There are a number of issues that can only be solved by an Administrator. The Admin noticeboard is one of the means through which users can contact Administrators in order to identify a problem that needs Administrative attention. Although editors are welcome to directly contact particular Administrators, posting on this page instead may be an easier way to let the entire Administrative group know of the issue (which may be particularly helpful since it increases the odds that at least one Administrator will see, and thus be able to respond to, the issue promptly).

There are only a limited number of things for which this page should be used. Many problems can be solved without Administrative intervention, and, thus, this page should be restricted to those issues that actually require an Administrator. Those are: blocking vandals, (un)deleting pages, (un)protecting pages, removing votes (either as per Real Vetting or because the build has been substantially edited), and mediation (only if the situation demands it).

Even in cases of vandalism, posting on this page needn't be the first step (and indeed should not be the first step). If you see vandalism, just go ahead and revert it, anyone has the power to do so. If it's a new article with no safe version to revert back to, tag it for deletion. In both cases you should leave a message in the talk page of that user to make him/her aware of why that kind of edit is unacceptable on PvXwiki. Only post here if that user persists in his/her actions, ignoring the warnings or if the content requires immediate Administrative attention (eg. if the material on the page is so offensive that should be immediately deleted).

(Be careful in case that user repeatedly insists on vandalizing, avoid a revert war; it's far better to temporarily leave the vandalized version of the page up until an admin has a chance to intervene.)

To create a new request: add an item to the bottom of the list below, providing a brief, neutral summary of the issue. As a sign of courtesy, also leave a message on the talk page of any other involved users so they are aware of this discussion. If you are alerting an admin of a vandal, use the {{IP}} template, with the first parameter being the vandal's IP or username. If you are requesting that vote(s) be removed, please use the {{Build}} template, with the first parameter being the build's name.

Note that this is not a talk page and that the respective moderators of each section reserve the right to remove non-administrative comments without discussion.

R/E Blinding Raptor Killer (talk · rate)

I know its a raptor build in PvE but its had a WELL tag on it for awhile. I put it in testing and it belongs either there or in archive. The current R/E raptor farmer (which was written over the build in testing and was rated Great) relies on same concept/bar as the Any/E with the exception that it uses whirling defense instead of Mind Block. I don't have an affinity for any user that rated the build lol. Also, while 5-5-X might be going to far, 0-0 and 1-1 votes for this are equally bad. Go test it on the Master of Damage vs some of the good and great builds and you can easily seen pretty similar numbers. (Not saying its all about dmg, and obviously Master of dmg doesn't test full functionality of a build anyway... just saying that the extremes are way too big.) Rating Page Lock

Could possibly get some coding to link to the forums for specific builds? For example, if in the article, there is some code such as "forums=(URL)" then it would add a link to the top. Display issues with Safari Browser

Well, I recently downloaded the new Safari browser and i like it a lot. However, there seems to be some kind of display issue with PvX. The navigation bar that is supposed to appear on the left hand side of each article is just a blank white area and the links from that are pushed down to the very bottom of the page below the white area. Could be something to do with my computer, but can someone else using safari confirm? Thanks Peter 02:58, 26 September 2008 (EDT)

Yea, the sidebar links are getting pushed down below the article body on every page. I'll look into it and see if I can change the css or something to fix it if I have time. Hhhippo might know how to fix it. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(sysop) 17:44, 26 September 2008 (EDT)

Nothing I've tried fixes it. It's entirely possible it's a safari bug. But if anyone else who knows some css wants to try to figure it out, here's a summary of what I tried:

1. Reducing the width of the article body and/or sidebar just leaves a bigger gap between them.
2. Changing the white-space:nowrap in the h4, h5, and h6's for .portlet to white-space:normal removes the big section of whitespace, and the sidebar looks normal... except that it's still shoved down below the article.
3. Changing the border, padding, and margin for .portlet and #pBody did nothing.

I tried more than this, but I don't remember it all. Also, guildwiki, GWW, and wikipedia all look normal in Safari. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(sysop) 18:26, 26 September 2008 (EDT)

This is exactly the same problem I have with my Safari Browser, it seems to push everything down to the bottom of the articles for some reason, most likely because the advert does not fit in the navigation bar. Vote Wipe Button

currently, policy suggest we should vote wipe archives, I believe Dont wants to remove that line(looking at the EB talk page). There seems to be a mistake somewhere in {{Template:Main Page/Top}}. I've implemented a temporary soluction and notified GCardinal. Vote removals

Both me and Rawr have noticed that sometimes a vote that's shown as removed in recent ratings doesn't appear on the removed list at the bottom of the ratings page, making it impossible to check the validity of a removal/restore the vote. Tab 14:51, 19 January 2009 (EST)

Nope, it doesnt work. If you vote on something, it appears in recent ratings, but if you delete your vote, the fact that you ever voted on the build is deleted. Another example is if your vote gets rollbacked, it shows up in the "my ratings" page, but if you delete your vote, the fact that it was rollbacked is gone too. Blocked users editing

New Guide Namespace

Is quite broken in relation to watchlists (at least mine). Articles in Guide: show up as redlinks (even though the articles are there) and I can't remove them from my watchlist. EDIT: Also, the articles are duplicated in the (Main) section of the watchlist editor. Toraen 02:39, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Mouse-over Attribute descriptions

(EC)hmm it might be linked to the PvE rank. even if you put @3 it doesn't change anything (it doesn't even show what the duration should be). Just leave it a while, Hippo or GCard will see this eventually, amd if it's our code they'll fix it. If it's GWBBcode, i've left GCard a message asking him to update to the new version (with their being a new version) hopefully it's been fixed in that version. if not then just tough I guess =p, not much we can do.
