As this is a noticeboard and not a talk page, please refrain from discussing!

The Admin noticeboard

There are a number of issues that can only be solved by an Administrator. The Admin noticeboard is one of the means through which users can contact Administrators in order to identify a problem that needs Administrative attention. Although editors are welcome to directly contact particular Administrators, posting on this page instead may be an easier way to let the entire Administrative group know of the issue (which may be particularly helpful since it increases the odds that at least one Administrator will see, and thus be able to respond to, the issue promptly).

There are only a limited number of things for which this page should be used. Many problems can be solved without Administrative intervention, and, thus, this page should be restricted to those issues that actually require an Administrator. Those are: blocking vandals, (un)deleting pages, (un)protecting pages, removing votes (either as per Real Vetting or because the build has been substantially edited), and mediation (only if the situation demands it).

Even in cases of vandalism, posting on this page needn't be the first step (and indeed should not be the first step). If you see vandalism, just go ahead and revert it, anyone has the power to do so. If it's a new article with no safe version to revert back to, tag it for deletion. In both cases you should leave a message in the talk page of that user to make him/her aware of why that kind of edit is unacceptable on PvXwiki. Only post here if that user persists in his/her actions, ignoring the warnings or if the content requires immediate Administrative attention (eg. if the material on the page is so offensive that should be immediately deleted).

(Be careful in case that user repeatedly insists on vandalizing, avoid a revert war; it's far better to temporarily leave the vandalized version of the page up until an admin has a chance to intervene.)

To create a new request: add an item to the bottom of the list below, providing a brief, neutral summary of the issue. As a sign of courtesy, also leave a message on the talk page of any other involved users so they are aware of this discussion. If you are alerting an admin of a vandal, use the {{IP}} template, with the first parameter being the vandal's IP or username. If you are requesting that vote(s) be removed, please use the {{Build}} template, with the first parameter being the build's name.

Please place new requests at the bottom of the corresponding issues heading.

General Issues

General issues include (un)deleting pages, (un)protecting pages, banning vandals, and moderating serious disputes. This section may also be used for miscellaneous issues as well as Administrative announcements. See resolved issues here.

Confirmation E-mail bug

I just made a new account and new email address and it sent the email right away without any problems. I'd recommend making a Gmail account and trying that if you haven't already. Download all builds

Can someone make a thingy for the categories that lets you download every build from that category? (For example, great HA builds. I want to download all the skill templates). I mainly want to do this with all the HA, GvG, and Hero builds. As well as PvE farming. Riff gives it a low score saying Nightmares pop-ups always ruins the runs. This is incorrect. Look at both the usage section of the article and the talk page. He has also misunderstood the difference between Effectiveness and Universality, giving Effectiveness a low score because of Nightmares. It does work in HB because, unlike the old version, you are only using it for occasional spikes, not for constant skill spamming. Also, getting within touch range is easy because Augury of Death shadow-steps you to the target, and you can keep a KD-chain so they won't be able to kite. Build:Mo/any_RA_Bonder's ratings. There's tons of Tycn's vote removals which doesn't have good enough reason and there was no reason to in the first place. Repeated "Good =/= great." is just Vote Removal = Stupid. Wtf? These are not ppl who's new... they've been around. They are not idiots, if they feel the build deserves that much score, so be it! Why the hell is it removed? Vote reflects "great" but they said "good"? Removed for that? that's rediculous. Last time I checked, good and great have similar meanings. If you hover over the "innovation" thing, it says "how new the idea behind the build is." Tycn's reponse = "Misconception of the definition of innovation." Frankly, either you guys need to change that or Tycn has the misconception of the definition of innovation. (Yes, I know the Real Vetting page has different desc, but you cannot penelize people for reading what it says) Y0 ich halt's vote, it says core of most ra monk builds. Whether "good" ones run it or not is irrelevent, this comment isn't untrue! The so called "good" player Tycn describes are rare in RA! Timinator's vote, he says he gets a lot of glad points fast from it and Tycn says glad points rn't what reflect the build? If you don't go to RA for glad points, wtf are you there for? If any vote should be rejected, I think lot of ppl who say RA/bond is stupid and votes it as crap should be removed. Clearly they haven't even tried because I managed to get over 30 flawless in a row with a bonder in RA with average in 10 or so. If they remove your enchant, just cast it again! it's not that big of a deal. If they remove all, yea you're screwed, but every build has a counter. Easy to counter? yes, but rare enchant removal is the metagame of RA!! It must be accepted as is, not what they want it to be! On top of all that, that page is a more of a guide than a template! not what you run, but what is commonly used. If they want more healing or active prot, add the freaking skill in there. Even the elite slot is empty.
Gonna add one more point, I think when it comes to votes, it should be open as possible. That is, just remove scam/possible scam (sock puppets) and things that are completely idiotic/offensive. You guys are afterall asking for public's opinion. Btw, everything after the bolded If on the above paragraph is just ranting... not something that needs to be done.

Seed of Life

Cool idea i think

PvE Attributes Counter

I think I've figured out how to do this. On Guildwiki, I have a short version that just inserts the actual pvxcode part, but I could probably get the whole thing in there and then put that code into MediaWiki:Common.js. Test out the short version by going to Special:Mypage/monobook.js on GuildWiki and pasting the code from mine in (you may have to clear your cache) which should add another button to the end of your editing toolbar that will add the pvxcode template in. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(sysop) 17:07, 16 April 2008 (EDT)

Someone hasn't clsoed PvXBig tags, had this problem before(see resolved issues and Team GvG or something like that), think an admin needs to do it (not sure how you edit it when it's like that....), but seen as the issues arised again, can i direct this more at GC or Hippo-could it be made possiable not to save a page unless all Pvxbig tags are closed to prevent this happening again? template.php Bug

The script to save the builds has a bug. Some build templates have a '+' in it, like Build:R/Mo_Magebane_Shot_Ranger. The problem with this is that the + is a url escape character for a ' ' space, so the script returns a file with a ' ' where a '+' should be. Fixing this is easy, just urlencode($template) before you write back the file. THC4k 07:22, 21 February 2008 (EST)

Just a thought, but we might want to make sure you can't insert a style sheet into any pages here. If I wanted to wreak havoc myself, I'd make a 5mil char style sheet and insert it into a few dozen pages at once on here. Sacrifice as cost
