The Ritualist gives support by spamming life steal weapon spells, due to their low recharge and low casting time they prove extremely useful. Especially versus interrupters. Making use of a spirit to maintain energy, give more heal and conflict temporary blindness when needed.

Try keeping bloodsong at a point in the map where it can deal damage, and stay alive. To keep proper heals going on, you need to stay in range of the spirit. Because of the small RA battle range it is fairly easy to do so. If it gets targeted, you usually can spike that target or blind him. Most people will target you afterwards. If not, recast the spirit in a safe position again. Higher grounds prove extremely useful. Cast the weapon spells on the targets that you expect to receive damage, and heal when necessary. Depending on the amount of pressure you can start dealing damage as well, if not use the energy maintanance spells. Renewing surge is extremely helpful to start off with, as you'll regen energy and get more energy back at a later time. Try blinding once in a while to prevent things such as interrupts / knockdown at crucial points in the game. Casting the weapon spells while there are interrupters is fairly easy to do, due to the 1/4th cast time.
Hexes / Conditions / Energy Denial
You are very dependant on your team. Being in a team with a monk can mean that you have too low damage out put. Yet being in a team without one can prove to be too easy to kill. Although, if you get in a fairly balanced team you will easily get 25 wins with this.
