Cool. User votes ftw! and thanks, I plan on enjoying my time here. Hopefully I can help monitor and rate Assassin builds. Eronth 20:58, 3 May 2007 (CEST)

Help- build screwupEdit

I have screwed up. While trying to change the format from Guildwiki to PvXwiki format, some of the builds got moved out of the Archived section. If someone could fix my mistake, i would appreciate it. My userpage has the pages that should be archived in case you need it. Eronth 18:10, 7 May 2007 (CEST)

Ahh, thank you for your help. I will work on that while getting ready for the 'system' ... Slipmat 21:51, 11 May 2007 (CEST)

I'm not sure if I addressed this elsewhere, but I deleted Template:Archived-build. That's the problem. -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 17:30, 16 May 2007 (CEST)
Ya, I don't remember who or where, but that was eventually made known to me. Eronth 17:31, 16 May 2007 (CEST)

hey thanx for helping me on my build ... heh and thanx for showing me how to link back skills to guildwiki LD --Iwan13 20:27, 16 June 2007 (EDT)

need assassin's opinionEdit

Can i get someones opinion on this. I'm using the shadow walk with dash as canceler. what is a good heal to use once i get away, would shadow refuge or feigned neutrality be better. and do you think i should use one of those other stances, such as dark escape. ya... Eronth 04:56, 12 May 2007 (CEST)

Dash is an excellent counter-stance. It's got a great effect and there's almost no chance it'll be recharging when you need it, and it's cheap. -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 17:12, 16 May 2007 (CEST)
When I was being random on my assassin at Thirsty River, I'd use Shadow Form --> Shadow Walk --> Chain on enemy priest --> Dash --> Run at +50% speed out and let the monk know my health was about to drop. It was win. -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 19:09, 16 May 2007 (CEST)
Sounds good. That's basically how I'm running my attack chain. Eronth 19:15, 16 May 2007 (CEST)
It took me a while to figure out that I was better off using Shadow Form before I use Shadow Walk - got some nice DP my first try :D -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 19:19, 16 May 2007 (CEST)

Woot! Eronth 17:26, 16 May 2007 (CEST)

Thank you again. Edit

Thanks, I understood what you were saying complete after I read your explanation. I replied there, but will just ask the same simple question here, any place to go to see the wiki commands that are out there in space? Or should I just Google it? Did you see that new Google stats thing, daily top 100 searches. And funny enough, 1/2 of them were related to World of Warcraft yesterday because of the patch. I found that amazing and thought I would let you know ... Slipmat 21:10, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

:Actually, I didn't know there was a way to find the top 100 searches. But more importantly, here is a very good HTML site, although some of those aren't used on wiki, and some of those have simplified versions on wiki. example: <b>words</b> and '''words''' makes bold font. Most places require <b></b>, but wiki allows ''' ''' to be used in place of <b></b> if you want. -(єronħ) no u 21:23, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

Editing Guide beats what I put up there. -(єronħ) no u 21:25, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

The hungry hippo linked me that from Armond's talk page, which was great, I'll try to use some of that here, like

  1. my first point. EVER!
  2. and look over → . . . roar!

Actually that didn't work as planned! Darn.

Anyway, here is the link to that Google thing I was talking about: I-learned .. It's interesting but not amazing. And honestly I haven't a clue why I decided to type it in here. So, now with my vast new found knowledge, I might fix your table here. and you can put it on your user page, and I'll feel smart! Slipmat 21:37, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

Attribute Edit

Level Cost Total
1 1 1
2 2 3
3 3 6
4 4 10
5 5 15
6 6 21
7 7 28
8 9 37
9 11 48
10 13 61
11 16 77
12 20 97

I did it! Hopefully that's what you wanted on your main page.. anyway thanks for your help Slipmat 21:43, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

Cool, thanks. I constantly refer to it to check that people have made realistic attribute levels and used as many attribute points as possible in their builds. I see too many people just leaving out like 20 attribute points or using 203 when you can only have 200. Table will be much easier to read. -(єronħ) no u 21:46, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

Thanks for the props, I add nothing to the site, but I help with user pages !!! hahahah Slipmat 21:51, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

Some of us simply memorize common attribute point levels. :P Actually, I have a non-table version of that saved in my cell phone (in addition to memorizing a few of them). Helpful for when I can't check this. (Tell me if that link works, I don't feel like going through the proxy of slowness to check it.) -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 22:15, 23 May 2007 (CEST)
You go below the table using {{clear}}...didn't know that. And yes, I have some memorized, but not all. I use that table when I'm at school, so this doesn't work because they blocked any URL with "game" in it. -(єronħ) no u 22:19, 23 May 2007 (CEST)
The clear template simply clears the entire line(s) of stuff. -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 10:43, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
Interesting stuff. Those are some nice tables over there on gw.gamewikis.org ... So, Eronth, what are you working on on this site, if anything? Anything I can help with? I cleaned up a few of the "tested" PvE builds, what else can I do? I can make a table!!!! hahah Slipmat 00:22, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
At the moment, I just kind of go with the flow of what's being edited. I usually don't comment on how good or bad a build is (mostly because my biggest and practically only experience on GW is playing the assassin). I usually just work on fixing pages. (attrib misdistribution, extra |'s, broken links, mislabeled build titles, pages that should be in userspace, etc.) -(єronħ) no u 00:45, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
Ahhhhhh... an assassin, cool. PvE mainly? Recommend me some starter builds, I have a level 20 assassin that I just basically leveled and made it to the main city but haven't really used him after that. I'm currently working on my derv, I made my rit and used that farming build (Dwayna's - build is on my page) over the weekend to get Dwayna's Grace. Oddly enough I leveled a Rit to get a Scythe to level a Derv. Retarded I know, but meh. So now i'm struggling with the derv, I have a feeling he's going to be strong eventually, but it's a long road it seems. I'm currently level 8 and at Jokanur Diggings mission, and trying to learn the approach because I'm used to just running in w/ my warrior, or chillen in the back with any of my casters. Trying to get Koss to run in first is a bit difficult, just have to take my time. I already have two great Scythes, Dwayna's and The Deathbringer, and I have no desire to buy armor until I beat NF, because that armor looks great, I already have the NF complete armor for my Warrior and it's impressive. Did you get the Assassin armor from the NF campaign yet? Slipmat 02:34, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
I don't have any suggestions, my builds change like... once every 2-3 days. And no, I don't have the nf assassin armor, I'm rather broke. -(єronħ) no u 03:44, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

What you said Edit

What???--Banditda 04:24, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

The converter bugs out if the S in the word skill is capitalized, uncapitalized and the converter will work.

If the thing is shown like this.
{{attributes|Dervish|Assassin
| Dagger Mastery |12
| Mysticism |12 + 1 + 2
| Earth Prayers |3 + 2
}}
{{Skill bar|Leaping Mantis Sting|Jungle Strike|Death Blossom|Mystic Vigor|Vital Boon|Heart of Fury|Faithful Intervention|Avatar of Balthazar}}

with a capital s in the skill bar ({{Skill bar|bla|bla|bla|bla|bla|bla|bla|bla}}), then just make it lowercase and converter is fixed. Also, remember to convert variants of a build. -(єronħ) no u 04:29, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

oh Thank you--Banditda 04:35, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

bbcode questions Edit

I wrote this back when we were using standard gwbbcode, but most of it still applies. Hope it answers your questions. -Auron 07:16, 30 May 2007 (CEST)

That deff needs to be added in the introduction to writing and submitting builds that is to be added at Help Contents under Coming Soon. (P.S. The reason I wanted to find the guide is to add the @0 tidbit, since many many people tend to miss that.) -(єronħ) no u 07:26, 30 May 2007 (CEST)

Eronth/Test Edit

What exactly is the purpose of the redirects if I may ask? DE Sig Test 2 *Defiant Elements* +talk 20:16, 1 June 2007 (CEST)

Basically figuring out what happens and how they display on the Special:BrokenRedirects list. Essentially I'm trying to see how much I can get rid of. Unfortunately, it seems all of the build talks are unfix-able (from where I am anyways) because the supposed page that is redirecting doesn't even exist. I was trying to see if deleting a page before removing the redirect would do that, but it doesn't from what I see. The only thing I haven't tried is: Creating page 1 and redirecting to page 2, creating page 2, deleting page 1 with redirect still on it, then deleting page 2... (sorry again for the RC swampage) -(єronħ) no u 20:23, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
Would it be a problem if I deleted Build:Team_-_2_ranger_Kepkhet_farming? It's one of the few pages that exists and redirects to nothing. -(єronħ) no u 20:26, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
You are an autonomous Admin, if you have a reason to delete it, fine. You can always restore it. And as to the RC spamming, well, not like anything else is goin' on right now. DE Sig Test 2 *Defiant Elements* +talk 20:28, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
In regards to those broken broken redirects, it's only fixable with a cleanup script, which means only Gcardinal can do it. They were caused by builds being imported before a Build talk: namespace existed, so things got really screwed up when it was created. It's irritating, but for now we have to ignore the first fifty or so links in Broken Redirects. -Auron 20:30, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
Alright, fine with me. -(єronħ) no u 20:32, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
Only the first 50? Seems such a small number -_-... Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 20:33, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
Well, technically 50 is huge, considering there's a total of 36 broken redirects. So I have to ignore more links than the amount that "exists" in the page. -(єronħ) no u 20:36, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
Basically lmao. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 20:40, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
