How I make a half decent HA build.

First you need to think wether you want to make a spike or a pressure team. If spike, is everyone going to have the same spike skills or are they all going to be different. If pressure waht kind, mainly damage, conditions, hex or monk shutdown.

Firstly get 2 healers this can be either:

2 monk backline Build:Team - HA 2 Monk Backline or

2 prism ele backline Build:E/Rt Ether Prism Healer

With either backline it is nice to get some support, though is not needed

For both backline:

Build:Mo/any PnH Support

For Monk backline:

Build:Rt/N OoB Support Ritualist

Build:Rt/any DwG Ritualist

Build:Rt/any HA OoS Utility

For Prism backline:

Spirit Lord

Pain Anguish Bloodsong Gaze of Fury Painful Bond Expel Hexes Spirit Siphon Flesh of My Flesh

Ranger spirits

Oath Shot Distracting Shot Nature's Renewal Quickening Zephyr Tranquility Whirling Defense Optional Optional
The 2 optional skill can be Grasping Earth and Ward Against Foes or "Make Haste!" and Song of Concentration

That is now 3 people out of 8.

For HA a few support skills are needed for the other HA type (capture points etc):

"Make Haste!"

Song of Concentration

Grasping Earth

Ward Against Foes

and a few anti-enchantment eg Rip Enchantment and Rend Enchantment

These skill are to contained within the other 5 people which can be used whenver it is needed.

Now we need some Frontliners, usually there are 2 but 1 or 3 are also good depending on the rest of the team.

Dismember Body Blow Disrupting Chop Coward Shock Frenzy Rush Resurrection Signet

Earth Shaker Crushing Blow Hammer Bash Bull's Strike Enraging Charge Flail Song of Concentration Resurrection Signet

Optional Distracting Shot Savage Shot Apply Poison Optional Optional Optional Resurrection Signet
Need an Elite and either Natural Stride or Lightning Reflexes. Grasping Earth and Ward Against Foes, Make Haste and Song of Concentration or Hunter's Shot and any skill rom the past choices.

Vicious Attack Spear of Lightning "Go for the Eyes!" "Stand Your Ground!" Defensive Anthem "We Shall Return!" Aggressive Refrain Signet of Return

Jagged Strike Fox Fangs Death Blossom Critical Strike Assault Enchantments Flurry Dash Resurrection Signet

Backbreaker Flail Falling Spider Twisting Fangs Falling Lotus Strike Blades of Steel Dash Resurrection Signet

Golden Lotus Strike Golden Fang Strike Horns of the Ox Falling Lotus Strike Death Blossom Weapon of Aggression Spirit's Strength Death Pact Signet

Eviscerate Body Blow Disrupting Chop Shock Bull's Strike Frenzy Rush Resurrection Signet

Build:D/any Wounding Strike Dervish

After that your midline is important these are the ones usually carrying the support skills.

You will have to think carefully wether you need more damage, monk shutdown, general support, condition spread or hex spread. But obviosly many build will be in many of these catagories. And even though some builds might show it with Ward Against Foes and Grasping Earth, Using other suitable skills are fine and Make Haste and Song of Concetration is always an option if not already in your team.

Big Damage:

Build:E/any HA Mind Blast

Build:E/any SH Elementalist

Monk Shutdown:

Build:Me/Rt E-Surge Domination Mesmer

Build:Me/any VoR Mesmer

General support:

Build:E/Rt Standard Water Ele

Build:E/any Blinding Surge

Build:E/any Unsteady Elementalist

Condition Spread:

Build:R/Mo Incendiary Arrows Ranger

Build:N/any HA Tainter

Hex Spread:

Build:N/E HA Lingering Curse

There are so many more builds possible to use but I can't mention them all (made a good attempt at it though).

So to choose which midline can be a problem but just think what you are trying how you are trying to kill the enemy team. All it is now is just changing a few builds around until you found the right combination.

Remeber mix things up a bit, as there is no need to have more than one B-Surge ele or more than 2 mesmers

And that is the basic way of making a decent HA team which with good enough players can carry you to halls.
