The Bounce Spiker build works by combining the shadow-stepping power of Ebon escape (which is not class limited, being a pve skill) to do essentially a reversed type of spike, *bouncing* off the tank. Using Ebon allows another subjob to be selected ( in contrast with traditional 100b w/a teambuilds) allowing you to sub necro and carry the mark of pain yourself. The result is a build that combines Ebon, 100b and mark of pain to deliver a strong , if somewhat crude, 'solo spike'.
To get the complete 100b effect, all the Bounce Spiker needs is : splinter weapon (important for a powerspike) and Edge of Extinction (somewhat optional, but nice to have for the domino effect) , both of which can be carried by the now standard Signet of Spirits ritualist or a Splinter Barrager (Which are very common buildtypes in high end instances teaming). Depending on area ( Symbiosys Bonders being a good example) EoE could also be carried by other characters.
Attributes and Skills
This is the General/Underworld version of this build. See the variants section for DOA versions.
<pvxbig> [build prof=Warrior/Necromancer Strength=8+1+1 Swordsmanship=9+1 Tactics=5 Curses=12][Ebon Escape][Mark of Pain]["For Great Justice!"]["To the Limit!"][Hundred Blades][Whirlwind Attack][Sun and Moon Slash]["I Am Unstoppable!"][/build] </pvxbig>
If going in an area where Antiknockdown isn't required, "By Ural's Hammer" can be swaped in for "I Am Unstoppable!" for an interesting damage boost. Air of Superiority can also be used for the energy returns and instant recharge aspects of the skill.
Wait for the tank to ball (and hug if they are a ranged type) -> tank pings when rdy -> For Great Justice -> "I Am Unstoppable!" -> Hundred Blades -> Call Mark of Pain -> target the tank -> Ebon Escape -> To the Limit (lbsig) -> T (target called target) or if overpinged then u can click on the marker next to your name in the party bar -> Whirlwind Attack .
You are essentially setting the spike by yourself by bouncing on the tank(and amplifying it with MoP) instead of being "targetted" by someone else (Via a MoP Call).
Because of the strong energy requirements involved with the casting of the mark of pain, certain sacrifices had to be made. In this case, the solo spiker sacrifices a part of his defense power (shield) for access to more energy (by way of a curses focus).Slot the focus with a +armor inscription, such as Man for all seasons, Hail to the king ( my favorite and the bison cup inscription) or Might is Right. See the notes section for more information on obtaining the focus.
A zealous sword ( and a more regular sundering/furious sword for an energy regen switch) are pretty much required for this build, and also a STR-based shield for the occasional sectank job.
The General/Underworld version of the build REQUIRES a full set of radiant armor.
The DOA version can do a lot more armor/weapons/focus adjustment giving you possibilities of Sentinel, Survivor or (radiant + regular shield) , because of the sheer energy recharge from LBsig.
If doing underworld, this build also opens up the nice possibility of using a Curses staff if you get "ghosted" at the Dhuum fight.
The usual suspects apply : Blind, Soothing, Energy Removal, Antimelee.
This is the DOA variant. LBsig is used to counter antishout and remove tactics entirely giving you a massive energy recharge. Lion's confort here provides an excellent "second wind" type of adrenal surge.
<pvxbig> [build prof=Warrior/Necromancer Strength=11+1+1 Swordsmanship=10+1 Curses=10][Ebon Escape][Mark of Pain]["For Great Justice!"][Hundred Blades][Lightbringer Signet][Whirlwind Attack][Sun and Moon Slash][Lion's Comfort][/build]
Ivarr Stewbrewer in Norrhart Domains is a collector that trades 5 Jotun pelts for a curses focus of fortitude(+30) (with empty inscription slot).
An example (with math) of the complete manly spike in action can be read here :Understanding the complete 100b manly spike

At the very minimum, The bounce spiker build can be slotted "as is" in a teambuild, as long as there is some form of tanking present.
Having access to splinter ( which is very common, especially since most teambuilds have either a ritualist or a splinter barrager) greatly boosts the attack power of this build (especially on initial spike, since it will trigger MoP 4-5 more times). EoE is also nice to have, if somewhat optional.
Do remember that 100b builds in general ( and by extension the bounce spiker build) get better as more enemies are grouped together, so have your tank try to get as many enemies balled up as possible for the best results.
