36 years old, male, live nr Nottingham, England.
An officer in Mu Tants (MU) Guild for those that know it.
Been playing games since the early days of consoles, still owning a SNES, Mega Drive, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Game Cube and Xbox
My favourite games have always been RPG's, starting with The Legend of Zelda series on Nintendo, and the Final Fantasy series (VII still the best) on Playstation, although my favourite game of all time, has to be Shadowrun on the SNES. I was looking forward to the upcoming PC release, until I realised they'd just turned it into another FPS. I guess Drake was wrong when he said see you in Shadowrun 2 at the end of the first game....
When I first purchased a PC I started with RTS games, Command and Conquer, Total Annihilation and Starcraft being the games I played most often, but after getting an internet connection got into the world of MUDs (Multi User Dungeons - Text based MMORPG where you had to read all the room descriptions to see if you could interact with anything to discover new things). I spent a long time playing and levelling my characters until my PC eventually died on me. After a short break from all things PC, I got back into console gaming and pretty much continued where I'd left off, with Zelda and Final Fantasy, until eventually I bought a new PC. The first thing I did was to grab a copy of Guild Wars, and started playing with my first account in December 2005.
The Magua character name is based around my real life nickname, Maggot, which got shortened by some friends (the story behind the nickname I think we'll save for another day). Surnames are all Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, check out Loch Fyne Whiskies for some ideas/purchases, although I'm far from being a drunkard in real life (unlike Magua Talisker). I started with one account, but when I realised I only had 4 character slots, and 6 character types to choose from, I bought another account to experience all that Guild Wars has to offer.
I purchased a 3rd Account to play on the American Server (due to the early morning starts at work, I tend to get up between 4am and 6am, even at weekends, and usually America has favour), but decided not to create yet another Magua account, mainly due to the fact I was running out of inspiration for names, and in a effort to not exactly duplicate existing characters, made all the American account characters female.
My favourite characters are my Rangers and my Warriors. Guess I just like things simple really, bit like real life.
