The way to see the derivative of the delta function is to just go back to the most general definition of derivative. That is:

δ'(x) = (lim ε->0) [δ(x+ε)-δ(x-ε)]/2ε. Which is called a doublet (e.g two opposite sign delta functions on top of each other). Plug it into the sifting integral and then integrate.

Then you get:

(lim ε->0) [f(-ε)-f(+ε)]/2ε = -f'(0).
