deletion requests

if you want something deleted you need to either:

  1. put a {{delete|some reason}} on it (if it's kind of maintenance (such as redirects)). or,
  2. tag it with WELL and why you think the build is crap.

just saying delete this doesn't help us, and we may not even see you saying it. ~ PheNaxKian talk 11:29, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

Dont move trash builds into trial. --Steamy..x

Hey

If you want to improve upon a build article, improve upon it, don't just rip it from said article and create a new page. Also if there is an issue with naming you can move the page with the "move" tab at the top of the page (next to edit). --Frosty Frostcharge 17:13, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Your signature test

I don't know if you intended to, but if you are to use the assassin icon, please reupload it under a different name as it's a commonly used icon. I read you are wiki expirienced, so I'm not going to tell you how to. Ciao. Brandnew 12:32, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Need to test the signature here too, and I will use the preview from now on. --Assassin-icon-small-Juze Assassin Juze 12:42, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Tagging Builds

I know you are only trying to help, but builds are only supposed to have one Build Tag, at the moment you are putting Trial builds in the Trial section and Stub section which is incorrect (policy). Read up here if you don't understand what I mean. --Frosty Frostcharge 17:34, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Me/any Fevered Hero (talk · rate)

[1] That's actually a good reason to WELL a build, especially considering I'm the one who submitted it. It's also no longer in Testing, so no one should be voting on it, anyway. After the Mesmer update, it will also probably be even worse (the buffs to Ineptitude and Psychic Instability we're waiting for). ــѕт.мıкε 11:19, May 6, 2010 (UTC)

What happened to this build anyway? :D --Juze JuzeAvatar 12:00, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
Heh, that's been that way forever ;) Works with any non-existing build ;) Brandnew 12:09, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
Yeh but I meant with the ratings spam, everything posted at the same time with hundreds of alts? --Juze JuzeAvatar 12:10, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
No, when pvx moved to wikia all rating where automatically submitted again, at that date. It's that way with lot of ratings, look up some archived, old builds and you'll see ;) Brandnew 12:12, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
Oh k. --Juze JuzeAvatar 12:13, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

[2]

That is a reason for a WELL tag, not a reason to give a low score. You rate a build on it's effectiveness, not on it's originality (though, lolinnovation) Brandnew 12:10, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Deleted. Yes, I'm too lazy to post this to your user talk page. --Juze JuzeAvatar 12:13, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

I don't usually come on very much

but your reasoning on [3] is way off. If there is hex removal there, don't use it. It's not PvP. SF and daggers definitely do mix. It's used a lot actually in a lot of SC builds and with +20% enchant mod + zealous you can do better than if you had a staff. The only other reasoning you provided was "No." --The Gates Assassin 23:15, May 16, 2010 (UTC)

common sense

learn to use it. Here's a few hints.

  • Abandoned tags: these go on stub and trial builds only when said builds haven't had any significant edits for 2 weeks. (a list can be found here Special:Graceexpired).
  • Stub vs. Trial vs. Testing: stub pages are where theorycraft is formulated, usually isn't used because things receive little or no feedback while a stub. Trial is where people present their theorycraft, polish off a few of the finer points (like armor, equip etc) and generally optimise the build, with the help of others. Testing is where it is released for voting, major changes shouldn't happen while in testing (though often they do anyway because the vetting process is iterative). It is common that if a build in Trial lacks quality, it stays there. But if a build in testing lacks quality, it is reasonable to move it back to trial.
  • Deleting vs. WELLing: as stated in PvXwiki:Build Deletion, WELL tags are for when a build is clearly inferior or a dupe of something which already exists and this is the case regardless of whether the build is sitting in trial, testing, stub or otherwise - if you are tagging a bad build, you will always use this. Remember WELL tags are only a suggestion that the build should be deleted, admins have the last call. Delete tags exist for the purpose of more admin side stuff (like a left over redirect or an exact duplicate page, for example).
